I'm tempted to wait. I'm just afraid frustration will drive more devs away and community support will die along with our chances of getting root.

Just the opposite actually. Devs want to be the one who "cracked" it! Do one will leave if they are serious about finding root. There's even a bounty of cash for the one who does and it's grown pretty large, I believe it' into the thousands of dollars last I read.

Flash a Stock T-Mobile/Verizon ROM

Thanks. Kinda sad. Maybe is it possible to flash T-Mobile/Verizon ROMs and recovery on AT&T Note 3?
I asked this on another thread and was told it could not be done without a special phone programmer. Why? Assuming the hardware is the same (and I can not really believe it would be) What could it hurt to try? (Maybe brick mode of some sort?

Safestrap

I was wondering if anyone had any problems installing safestrap after this? I did everything step by step, installed busybox, then safestrap installed and then restarted my phone. There's no difference

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

Install safestrap 3.71 and it will fix the issue, may have to Google for it

Strange, SS shows recovery installed? But reboot never shows the SS splash?

Correct. I've uninstalled it several times and then re-installed it shows it's installed so I go to Reboot to recovery. The only thing I see when I reboot is the Samsung Note 3 with the custom unlock logo at the bottom then it goes Android is upgrading screen, should I repeat this whole process?

Sounds like something went wrong during the process.

What do you think my issue is?
Should I re-do the whole process?
I would say yes, but I can't figure out where it would have gone wrong. Root, Su, is all you need for SS to do its thing.

Did you remove the root zip after you got root? I wonder if it's causing issues during each reboot

Like you said clothednblack, you have to prove you have root, like es explorer or some root app from the market that needs root.

depends on what rom your running, is it KK or JB rom

looks like the correct boot.img is needed for safestrap recovery to boot

When I was root :crying: I installed with odin the files to go from JB rom and back to KK rom ( from backups)

I didn't remove anything after the process was finished. When I re-do the process what files should I remove? Also even when I first go the phone, it never had this android upgrading screen after each reboot. Is this because I didn't remove certain files or?

The rdlv file on the root of the phone isn't needed after you achieve root, it can be removed. If that still doesn't fix it, then it wouldn't hurt to try an older version of SS before starting all over again

If you still have the Restore for MJ5 files, then your should be MJ5, so you have to use the old MJ5 safestrap 3.71 and the files I posted Togetsafestrap
