I keep getting this message after Heimdall reaches 100% (not 95 like stated) "Failed to confirm end of file transfer sequence!"
The phone has " Downloading (Green Android guy) "Do not turn of target!!" Knox 0x0 everything. Custom system status.
>>> SECURE CHECK FAIL : system

Also the next step has fails
When I reboot into Recovery to flash the scs file, it installs and at the end has errors in red right before the screen reboots. I can see stuff about the SD Card or something.

Anyways, Every time since this attempt has put me in this hole.
I turn on my phone and it goes into recovery >EVERY TIME<
I dont know what to do, >> FOLLOWED ALL DIRECTIONS
If you or anybody can help, I would love to have a phone back.
This sucks

My Baseband Is MJ5 and my build number ends with MI9. But I did all the rest of da steps. Is this okay or shouldn't the build end in MJ5 as well? Thanks

It won't cause any major issues, but to complete the restore, you'll have to run through the update.sh script in update.zip

I did but something is missing. What did you set your permissions on > I changed them to match most of whats in there

12) Move apply_patch to /system/bin using a root explorer or ADB. Make sure the permissions are set right

I might need to flash the MJ5 Modem. My network is sowing that no smoking sign sometimes and wifi has to be clicked on again with password after each reboot. FYI....Thanks. oh. And I think I can flash the modem with Odin and it's all good right? At least I saw it here somewhere. Just want to be sure

i'm assuming you can still connect and use odin? i have a replacement coming in mail- evil is there any way your image file could be converted to .tar format that can be used in odin or a way that designgears img could be modified with your workaround so we could use in odin? for whatever reason that seems to be the only way we can interact with our phone.. i'd be willing to test since i've got replacement coming (just can't trip knox if possible)

thnx will also try this later in day.. are you on windows 7 64 bit? if so shoud i remove all of the vrc files and just use the one you posted above? drakey if your on windows 7 64 bit give this a whirl and lemme know.. i think we are literally at same point of where our phone is
Ahh Fantastic I'm glad it worked for you.

I suggest using hiemdall for flashing individual partitions. I like the ease of use and not worrying about which slot in Odin to use. I'm glad i could help!

Sounds like you need to install the csc file tjat you should have on external sdcard. You have to install it from recovery
I did. But the phone is still unstable, so slow and that pen message all the time. Do you believe I should start all over? I stopped on step 9

You need to boot into recovery to flash the sec_csc.zip file. Also, did you use Odin to reparation during step 2?
I did. The phone now turns on but bugs all over, specially the pen message.

Fabiooli- one of the images from step 2 wasn't flashed correctly. Try from step 2 and repeat

Anthonok - on heimdall, go to the last tab and select detect device, then back to the second tab to select no rebootand start

Roundtableprez - try connecting to a different USB port

Seetully- godaddy blows. I applied at dev host, and will reupload there when i hear back.
