Ok, try this:

I'm gonna knix the last couple steps and re - organize a bit, so hold on to your hats...

Put this file on your ext sdcard then;

Assuming you have already flashed with this method, start at step 5.

After step 8, reboot BACK into recovery and flash the new zip file (24.....zip)

NOW boot into the system. At this point , you should be on non - rooted MJ5. Run the rldv script if you wanna root, but report back how wifi is treating you.

If this fixes it, then I'll update the OP.
Once again evilpotato you are a genius. My issue was i'm on mj5 rooted, flashed tmobile wicked rom, returned to stock mj5 rooted via your method and wifi worked but forgot password on reboot and had to reenter to connect. by doing as you outlined above it now remembers my passwIord and auto reconnects. Not only that but this procedure greatly reduces the amt of work it takes to get back to mj5 rooted. Keep up the good work my friend. We should all be thankful for evil's work!!!! I can also say by this method everything shows official (even boot splash screen, odin mode and under about phone in settings- at least until i apply root). Did someone try applying this after they had a t-mobile rom loaded up- holy smokes if that made wifi reconnect i would hit the floor!

Well I'm on jedi at with no wifi reconnect. Think if I flash the new file it will boink everything up. ... I can try it in about 2 hours... don't wanna do it now and bootloop or soft brick and not have it at work.

My device works fine still. I originally used RDLV. Updated OTA. All is fine except if I don't use Wanam I'm left with the PADLOCK on boot even if I hard reset. I may want to sell the device. So can I use this method to get to stock MJ5 so that I get rid of the padlock and sell if clear and clean?

*** EDIT ***

I tried KINGO's UNROOT feature and guess what... it removed the PADLOCK!

my update sorry it took forever. but flashing the new file over a tmobile rom ( jedi v5) cause errors and it did not fix the wifi. it rebooted but it became unstable.

now on a new note and question, does this mean with that new file we can skip the old mj5 patch through adb???? and 2 use the same rdlv file?

update- answered my own question, this makes mj5 update SO MUCH EASIER. and it fixed the wifi and auto reconnect. system will reboot and show unofficial but after a 2nd reboot its back to official status. i think i will keep mj5 and root with wanam. i did hear a RUMOR that att will release another small update following an odin file. mj5 supposedly has some issues, hence att pulled the update for a bit when it was released. i heard this from a friend who is pretty accurate about these things idk how but he usually has good instinct about this. again this is a rumor and don't hold me to anything but supposedly we may see a new odin in the future. again THANK YOU SO MUCH evil, it worked fantastic

Stuck on step 7

Just how long do you have to wait for heimdall to flash? I did everything to the t and it just says releasing device interface. It's been stuck like this for about an hour. Can someone please tell me what is goin on our did I miss something important? Thanks to all who reply.

I can't get passed 10) Extract rldv.zip to the root of your internal sdcard . I have tried putting the rvld folder in root of phone, the 1 folder and rvld.sh in root, and finally contents in root of phone. nothing.

never mind. went into recovery and redid the folder. that cleared it up.

Worked great for me Evil. Needed to remove the PADLOCK and the process worked smoothly. Only thing that took me a while to figure out was I didn't know to unzip all the Odin files to get them to show up as an option for selecting. Also when replacing the Drivers it wasn't clear to have the phone in download mode. Anyways figured it all out and everything worked great. Now off to return the phone back to AT&T for a replacement Note 3!!!

Very OCD. Dropped the phone and the housing was all scratched up. Ended up just doing a warranty replacement for a replacement phone (refurbished but the phone pretty much looks new and is on MI9 firmware so I lucked out because other people who did warranty replacement go the MJ5 firmware).
