These are boot animations that I made using images straight from the Nexus 7 bootloader. To see how I got these pixel for pixel images, please see my thread: The Google Splash Screen & Bootloader Graphics.
I have included a script that will uninstall the bootanimation if you flash it twice. My script also installs the bootanimation into /data/local/ instead of /system/media/ for a couple of reasons:
If you are using your device now, you can view them in YouTube, and fullscreen it to get a better idea as to how they will look. The Gifs don't look that good. All of these are full resolution 1200x1920!

- The /data/local/ bootanimation is checked for first, and if present, it is played
- The bootanimation will persist through ROM updates unless you wipe your user data.
- Not that this matters because it is a Nexus, but you don't need root to write to /data
