[13.0][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 20 for Nokia 4.2

Hello,

thanks for your amazing work keeping Nokia 4.2 up-to-date.

I found a bug in the image lineage-20.0-20220921-UNOFFICIAL-panther.zip

It is not possible to use Bluetooth speakers / headsets. It connects and allows to start and stop the track, but the audio is not transferred. You hear the music not from the Bluetooth speakers, but you can hear it from the phone speakers.

Android 13 allows switching between phone speakers / Bluetooth speakers via the notification in the notification area, but the change has no effect: Sound comes from only the phone speakers.

I hope you can fix this.

I almost there were several attempts failed. I didn't have a recovery on my stock ROM so the first step failed. So I installed the lineage recovery. Installed the required version on both boot slots. Then I installed the latest version 16-11-2022 of your ROM twice on boot slots A/B and I installed the right mind the gapps. And I installed the vendor.img file. I hope I used the right one as there were more in one folder. I wiped the data partition and I was finally able to boot. The ROM speed is perfect but I have no WiFi. I'm able to manual at a network which is remembered but no connection. Please can anyone help me?

Same here. I solved by fixing the Wifi channel (11) in the rooter. Others suggest to disable IPv6 at the rooter. Complex topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/discussion-wifi-drop-out-issue-on-custom-roms.4091625/page-6

I experience the same issues after I go back to stock.

In Januar I flashed vendor_V3.240.img

I got back to stock (Android 11):

I sideloaded boot-lineage-20-2022-12-14.img and lineage-20.0-20221214-UNOFFICIAL-PAN_sprout.zip in both slots.

Maybe a clear installation instruction would be great because the sequence of the commands are not helpful (does not work for me). For a total beginner, it is unmanageable to flash it correctly because some steps are not written down e.g How to get in fastboot / recovery? How to enforce booting in other slot? When to wipe?

After I go back to stock, i have the same Wi-Fi problems after flashing lineage-20.0-20220921-UNOFFICIAL-panther.zip . Currently, I use the stock version because the last stable version was for me lineage-19.1-20220816-UNOFFICIAL-panther.zip . Normally, you cannot downgrade Android 13 to 12

Go back to stock:
adb sideload 37....zip
GOING BACK TO STOCK:
- Sideload https://android.googleapis.com/packages/ota-api/package/37a17a09b0b0d8ab0a3c398f373af4f0e1f067a1.zip in Lineage recovery
- Wipe data / factory reset

Thanks for the rom mate I'm enjoying it, but can you please add a control feature for the led on the lock button? It's always on, also a control feature for the google assistant button.

The new patch works for me (Wifi and bluetooth). I also flashed the vendor image vendor_V3.240.img

Maybe change the download mirror. I get only 120 -230 Kb/s (having a 1 Gb/s connection in Europe)

Great Work. Security (Functional) Updates avoid a lot of electronic waste and burning money for a new phone.

Has anyone tried this with Nokia 4.2 TA-1133? I am having trouble keeping mine on wifi so I am considering Lineage. It sounds like this is an issue after upgrading to Android 11.

I installed / sideloaded MindTheGapps after installed a bunch of apps on the phone (I know that this may cause problems). But you need the latest release of MindTheGapps https://sourceforge.net/projects/wsa-mtg/files/x86_64/20230201/ for Android 13 /MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20221025_100653.zip if your flash the latest release of Lineage https://sourceforge.net/projects/lineageos-panther/files/lineage-20/

When will the march security build be available?

    LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts.     1 Reboot to recovery​

    After more than 3 months of using this rom daily I can't see any bugs. GPS, wi-fi. LTE, Bluetooth works perfect.

    Plan is to do monthlies for latest security patch.
    If there's a bug, I can build sooner!

    TROBLESHOOTING
    If this does not boot for some reason, try to flash stock vendor.img to both slots:
    Bash: 
    fastboot flash vendor_a vendor.img
fastboot flash vendor_b vendor.img

    * Fixed Bluetooth audio

    If your Wifi refuses to connect after this update, go to
    Settings -> System -> Reset options and reset Wifi, mobile & Bluetooth

    If firmware is not updated to V3.240:
    * Flash updated vendor image to both slots
    * Sideload LineageOS zip
