Try restart few times
Battery should stay at 5-6ma on standby..
I did it; SEVEN times, dear friend.
Don't know why's that... I REALLY love this rom here, I wish there was a NAND ver, to flash that ver's one.
How much do u have now?i know some SD cards are big drainers. Do u have Setcpu with root permissions and a task manager whcih can delete many apps?
I had this issue which i tracked down to an app which was loading ads.
Well, that's the most odd experience with a HD2 rom I ever had!
That rom here, is fast... stable... beautiful... I love it, but has a "tiny" problem; it NEVER goes to "sleep mode"!
I fully charged my phone last night; I played with it and the battery went to 80% - which was fine.
I went to sleep... I pressed the red button to lock screen and "sleep mode"... I slept about 6 hrs... I woke up, made some coffee, pick up the phone and... the led was flashing, I pressed the red button to set on the screen, unlocked the phone... and the notification was saying "10% or less, get your charger"!!!!
So, I don't know if the rom is battery drainer or... there is a HUGE bug and this rom doesn't letting the phone to go in "sleep mode" and it's like it's ALWAYS on - without the screen on.
That's very annoying! With WinMo6.5 Energy rom, if I wasn't play with the phone and letting it in "sleep mode" (Standby), the phone could last without charge about... 2,5 days, maybe even more! With this one rom, it last... 5-6 hrs!
If there is a GIGANTIC battery bug fix, I'm truly need it and I would love to use it.
If not,... sorry, I'll change rom, I can't continue with this one, even if I love it.
Install battery status pro and see how much is your stand by current. make a widget of SetCpu on home screen and see the frequency as well. Keep the maximum frequency to 1036 and use the governor 'Smartass' or 'interactive'. Which kernel are you using? If you haven't changed it to tytung try it as well.
Normal standby should be 3-8mA.
I'm very "green" user in Android roms, just few days.
I'm keep reading for that 'kernel' but I don't understand what's all about... Like I wrote, the problem seems to be that the phone NEVER stays 'Standby mode'/'Sleep mode'; looks like it's always on (without the screen on, of course), so... obviously the battery is rapidly drained.
a. I can't find that Battery status pro.
b. I already have SetCPU; what am I suppose to look and report back here?
c. How can I do it that, keeping maximum frequency to 1036? How am I changing to 'smartass' or 'interactive'?
Sorry for the questions, they may sound silly, but I'm using an Android rom for ONLY the last 5 days! I never used before Android...
Battery status pro is a tool which can be downloaded from the play store.
Make a widget for Setcpu on home screen. Click on it and it will open the main page which will help you to set the governor(smartass/interactive)
Frequency can be set by the slider on main screen and it will show the maximum freq and minimum frequency.Do you have any apps installed which rely too much on ads?
Change the kernel to tytung r14.Download from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20533246&postcount=319. Then reboot to Win Mobile and copy the folder 'MIUI_update and zimage' to Android folder. Reboot and in Android under settings-->System-->about phone, scroll down and you can see the kernel version tytung. Go to the app 'Auto killer memory' and choose prest 'Extreme'.Reboot again and battery should be good.
if not I am out of ideas.
Sorry, but truly I can't find that tool you're saying. I already searched before that reply of yours, I can't find it. Do you mean Battery status BAR (instead of 'Pro')?
Okay, I'll do it (that in SetCPU). EDIT: I checked and it's already 'interactive/bfq'. And there are TWO 'smartass' options, one 'V2'...
Ah, about ads, yes! I installed 2-3 weather apps, like Yahoo Weather or AccuWeather (obviously FREE - with ads, I didn't bought the full ver)!
Do you think THIS IS the problem with my battery???? These ads are responsible for SO MUCH battery drain???
(But, to be honest, before I started installing things/apps, the battery drain of this FINE rom, wasn't little).
I'll do the rest you mention, m8! Many regards for your help!
(That you wrote about the 'kernel' - which is ...what? I'm still don't know - should I replacing it, even if I'll turn to a NAND rom?)
Kernel is a part of ROM which can make a difference in battery. It might be your problem and this is why I asked you to change it to tytung in the steps above. Give it a try and it might help you if you keep this ROM. I had a weather app shich killed the battery.Removing it helped.ma/may not be the case for you.Either of the smart ass option is good v2 is a bit better.
I've got it! Thxs, Rambo.
I'll give a try, because... a) I'm still VERY happy with Energy Sense 6.5 (winmo) rom... and b) I'm very happy with this sd rom, here.
If I'll see the problem with the battery remains, I'll try to check another sd rom (still do I have to replace these zipped files in the 'Android' folder?) or... I'll move to a NAND rom.
"Root" means something like "JailBreak" in iPhones, right? Can I "root" a sd Android rom or only a NAND can be "rooted"?
Also, when I'm reading for an app "This is for root", what does it means?
Root is similar to jailbreak. For rooting you need HSPL unlocked.
Just for trying see if Jaguar MIUI ROM helps you. I had very good experience with that ROM as well. If I am right flashing NAND ROM will make you loose Win Mobile.
I did it; SEVEN times, dear friend.
Don't know why's that... I REALLY love this rom here, I wish you also have done a NAND ver, to flash that one.
Maybe you can guide me up a bit, for few battery tricks/tips or a small app to boost the battery, please?
Try install task killer kill the background apps before off screen ..or some auto killer got setting like auto kill screen off function ..
I using Advanced Task Killer
Battery drain mostly because of too many apps running in background ..
Install CurrentWidget to check after off screen for few minute see how many ma u have .. the normal should be 5~8ma max ..
Τhxs, I'll check them all you mention.
Btw, you didn't tell me... are you gonna make THIS FINE rom here, in NAND format???

I'm installing all these tools and I'll try my best.
The point is... the rom STILL remains... annoying. I fully charged my phone in WinMo Energy rom (which is fine rom, standby over 2 days), I reboot to this Android rom with 100% battery, I boot to the Android, I checked these tools you guys mention (for 3 minutes) and I checked the battery and it was ALREADY... 92%!
Now, after 10 minutes idle... it's bellow 80%.
No matter what apps I installed, there is NO WAY to loosing so fast rapidly battery, in a so short time.

In a short period time of 10-12 minutes (while I was watching the Basketball Final in London) with my phone standby/idle... the battery dropped 13-15%. Sorry, fellas, that's not good. That means 1-2% every single minutes, that means in... 100 minutes (LESS than 2 hrs), the battery will gone, completely.
