Already read this thread, this is specific for a bootloader error appearing in xiaomi devices due to driver problems so not my case, my case is the phone is stuck in boot state (as i said, not bootloader, not recovery) in which the only thing i can do is shut down my device, any key combination won't work as it will just shut down the device so this means i cannot access bootloader nor recovery.

that means need to boot edl mode but nothing doesnt have such tool to flash back software..edl is last method if no fastboot or recovery

yes i did, latest version running, that's not the issue here. The issue is that flashing the ROM following exactly every step of the official tutorial ended up hard bricking my device and I would like to find a solution to exit this brick state and retrieve my device's functionality

Just want to add I am in the same situation after flashing rice droid. Did you find any solutions?

Come on guys. The only thing i see in this BEAUTIFUL ROM thread is how to revert back. There are THREADS for that and it even says how to do it at the first POST. We should only thank dev and contribute to the development.

Strange one. but do you use tiktok? Basically the TikTok app for me and someone else on here are struggling with it as its locked to 60hz. I went to nothing support and they said its intended as a battery saving measure with no way to stop it. Can you confirm if its locked to 60 on this rom?

Also do you know if there are any extra steps when installing this on an EEA device?

Hey, I've recently kept in touch with some users keen on development for NP1 and unfortunately i've been told this is an irreversible hard brick: if you cannot access bootloader in any way (which is the case) the phone is pretty much gone. The only thing you can do is use the phone's warranty which, as i've been told, is not void.
It looks like this is caused by some bug only few users have encountered so we just had terribly bad luck.
Hope you some luck, this is lame.

Hey man, thanks for getting back to me. This bricked thread suggests the phone was repaired by Nothing when it was sent in without mentioning flashing so it seems fixable.

I reached out to Nothing support and was told they don't fix problems caused by the user. Not just that the warranty is void, they won't touch it at all even if the user pays for repairs. I'm pretty sure that's illegal though, especially in the EU.

For sure it's illegal, support is minimal 2 years on EU with or without cost.
You send / asking for repair and said it happend after a Full OTA upgrade and it's done. Same Boot / Recovery bug can be associate. Upgrade OTA & Full OTA are shared for this, if they don't accept user use them or don't accept users can have problem/bug with that without share a Tool for Unbrick / or paid service it's clearely illegal.

Might take the plunge and try it. Do I need root for Google wallet and bank apps to work? And am I all good to use it on an Euro device?

Rom with so many customizations, personalisations and features.
Just installed it so no word yet on battery and stability
I do notice a slight issue with the 3 button navigation, it very often doesn't detect a touch, especially on the back button.
It seems to not detect on the bottom half of the buttons?
To further elaborate: it seems the whole screen is a little off, like all touch actions seem to not hit the correct spot..
Like the screen has the full 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, but the touchscreen is only 1000 x 2300 pixels or something?

Also wondering whether I'm the only one with wallpaper scaling issues?

You should be able to flash it directly, as long as you perform a factory reset

I tried to install ricedroid.
Flashed boot and vendor image
Then sideloaded rom
Then did a factory reset in lineage recovery which is used to sideload.
Now I am stuck on this screen of
Press any key to shutdown

Don't know how to get out if it.
If I push the volume keys it'll shutdown.
If I push the power button it'll reboot.
If it's plugged in volume keys reboot it.
It's extremely frustrating
Don't know what to do

Any help is appreciated.
