Development [𝟏𝟑] RiceDroid Android project Beta 3 - Nothing phone (1)

Rom with so many customizations, personalisations and features.
Just installed it so no word yet on battery and stability
I do notice a slight issue with the 3 button navigation, it very often doesn't detect a touch, especially on the back button.
It seems to not detect on the bottom half of the buttons?
To further elaborate: it seems the whole screen is a little off, like all touch actions seem to not hit the correct spot..
Like the screen has the full 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, but the touchscreen is only 1000 x 2300 pixels or something?

Also wondering whether I'm the only one with wallpaper scaling issues?

I have the very same issue with the wallpaper scaling

Also another issue, that's even worse, is that whenever someone calls me, I only hear the ringing and feel the vibration, but it doesn't show who is calling and I can't decline or accept the call.
Only when they stop trying to reach me, I will be able to see who called.
Then, when I call someone, I only hear the beeping sound, that is there when waiting for the other side to pick up, but no overlay, I can't cancel the call, I can't set it on speaker, I can't pause it, I can't record it, nothing, and I can't end the call, need to wait for the other side to end it.

I hope this will get fixed!

Otherwise pretty, pretty, pretty nice ROM, made me love my phone more, nothing os has become so boring and has so, so many bugs, even considering it is a fresh one, still, that's too many bugs.
And Carl Pei is denying half of it, eh

I tried to install ricedroid.
Flashed boot and vendor image
Then sideloaded rom
Then did a factory reset in lineage recovery which is used to sideload.
Now I am stuck on this screen of
Press any key to shutdown

Don't know how to get out if it.
If I push the volume keys it'll shutdown.
If I push the power button it'll reboot.
If it's plugged in volume keys reboot it.
It's extremely frustrating
Don't know what to do

Any help is appreciated.

I dont see a lot of problems with NothingOS. Which bugs are oyu tlaking about?

You have simply not apply phone app by default.
Settings > Applications > Application by default > choose your wanted phone app for call and spam

Ahhh, thank you so much! I will try that out when I am back on the latest version of Ricedroid

I had some other issues as well, in discord mobile, my microphone would always be staticky and the Google services I suppose somehow didn't have network access (google search bar on the homescreen reports no internet connection, play store reports no internet connection, the quick discovery feed thingy on the left gives an error)

Do you have any idea on how to fix that?

Could someone help me please?

After Play Store constantly kept crashing, I tried the usual, and nothing helped
So I uninstalled it and reinstalled.
After doing so, suddenly google services (or so I think?) does not have any network connection anymore

-Google Discover all the way to the left of the homescreen says "an error occurred"
-Google Play Store says "you are offline"
-the Google App says "no network connection"

What can I do? I tried reflashing the firmware (as an update, not clean flash, since I want to do that as a last resort)

Edit:
Gmail App also doesn't have network access

I clean installed ricedroid, backup present anyway ^^

just installed the 8.6 rom version on my NP1
Issue with bottom screen and with the wallpaper scaling but oddly the glyph animations doesn't work

does someone have encountered that problem?

All known issues
New update is in the works, currently in beta test, not sure when it gets released

here are the steps but the links don't give access to boot and vendor stocl files
also it's quite difficult to get the NOS 1.1.4

Can I downgrade to a previous OS rom version?
Can I unpack a full rom zip and flash boot and vendor img files?

Finally succeeded thanks to other boot and vendor files available on the net, then update to NOS 1.1.6

Not need to search on the net or install NOS 1.1.4,
It's just their link in the tutorial is not good, but boot files are always availables on an another path and NOS 1.1.4 is just the rom used when they writting the tutorial, just use always the last full rom package stable (so 1.1.6)

Thanks, Indeed i saw the two files but thought they were patched due to their names... "_rice"

Yes, this files are good, FYI you can make the name you want for the file, during flash the *.img content will be flashed, it's not a mandatory to keep the boot.img/vendor_boot.img files names
It's usefull if you want keep different file in a same folder and know compatibility/roms versions and above all for don't make a mistake ^^

nah...he pressure..it normal as dev has answer but if same thing it not fault user getting bann or kicked
