well, it doesn't work for me. everythings ok until i try to install some .xap i get error in translation it goes moreless:

set or file cannot be loaded.
'Microsoft.SmartDevice.Connectivity, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its relations. file cannot be found.

any ideas?

the video tut worked for me just fine. i was able to install twitter, facebook, and the flashlight app that was included perfectly. great tut!

"please make sure its connected using usb ....
please start the Zune application..

If you are getting the error message;

please make sure its connected using usb ....
please start the Zune application..

its because you need to download and install WP7 SDK before it will recognise your phone.

If you already installed SDK then close Skype( on your PC ).. for some reason you get connection error if skype is open

Try to shutdown your firewall. Im on windows 7 64bit and i can confirm that this did the job!

Okay, I spents DAYS doing all of the steps. There is a fix! Set the date on your PC to 1 October 2011 and also on the cell. Then use the chevron.exe. It should work.

LOL! We can have million of fixes but the final fix is one! Devs should create a built of WP7 unlocked and activated...So give them some time and they will make this happen like the rest they have done!

Arkatis, This really works. Nothing worked for me before. But when I changed the date, then of course in airplane mode, it worked.

Tried many things .. this really worked.. i kept same timezones on both pc and mobile.. date to october 1 2011 on both.. voila it got unlocked... weird but worked.. thanks..
