To the devs... I'm trying to make a port of miui v4 only for knowledge using this, rom to port and hephappy latest build as base... but getting bootloop and i have a few questions...

I dont know if it's a bug, but to help... im using this ROM and i not change the kernel...

And after i enter in messaging and back to home i get black home only with status bar and after a few seconds go to home....

Only a report to help! Im testing to help

Do this

**** I forgot the test launcher too in ROM..
Guys delete launcher2.apk from system app and reboot the phone in order to avoid issues..
also after reboot in launcher preference, uncheck icon shadow and keep in memory to get even smoother scrolling..
I had already locked launcher in memory through script...

This will help and also flash the kernel mentioned in fist post

I have 2 questions for you guys.
1- Binodray- Are you able to boot up with MIUIv4 past build 2.3.30? I believe it is an issue with ICS being 4.0.4 and all but no one has been able to from what I understand. Keep getting a 'netd' error.
2. Fundoozz- Are you still building from the Chinese Devs? Or are you now building from yourself? Myself and all my partners are up to date with MIUI 2.4.9 as of right now. Just wondering.

and I don't have lappy too..
what I m concentrating on is bug fixing rather then updating, I have an idea on how to fix the left out bugs but reboot on uninstall is really ditching me bad..
with the latest build from Chinese dev, browser is not working and also there is a problem with titanium backup restore.. so I am consolidating on the old build with bug fixes..
n atm beta 4 is going really well.. though not many ppl trying it..

Edit:-Anything we do but framework port can't compete the one built from source.. After my exams, I will be using patch ROM, tilal has already got it booting(I guess he is a blade Dev)

I have tried. It booted once then FC FC all over the place. That is long back. I am not doing now. I am waiting to finish Fundooss exam first and get this computer. I GF is coming to visit me next weekends so really not messing with phone. But as soon as Fundooz is free we will start. Because i will it for first time and i need help. Funddoz will also start it for fisrt time so we can help each other.

In the mean while if you are trying something then i can help you in that.

Got a fix for this...
its due to script..

set preset to aggressive and click apply and then also select apply on boot...
u will notice performance improvement too..

I will be using official cm7 only as camera is fully fixed now and at some time it will be updated by cm team too.. also boot time is much faster with official cm..

m not using Franco kernel, use roq kernel provided below the ROM download link..

Dialer still needs some translation..
if it is annoying for u then as for now u can use ex dialer which is very similar to miui dialer..
n for call recording.. when u r on call, click on tools and u will find the option there..

patchROM is set up SO differently, I have no idea how to build it myself, let alone make a ROM with it. Please make sure to help a noob if you get it figured out. I'm sure that's what the chinese devs are doing anyways. Actually, if you get a nice guide, then I will be fine with that.

u will find the guide easily by googling, process is simple
u take a base ROM (not source code)
and framework and some apps from miui..
tricky part is recompiling of apps which will be a mix of both cm and miui..

additional thing that we would need is resized framework and system aap but thats easy coz v already have resized images...
