So far i know It's not possible to update a custom ROM with zune or push the original .cab files with a offline updater. My question whas, if there is a option with this ROM.

Yeah there is mate I just updated this ROM using the CAB sender. If you go to that thread there is a list, scroll down until you see the latest two 7.8 updates, download them, hook up your phone and send them using the instructions provided.

not working for me

worked fine for me, but the sound (the same of the notification banner) is very very low (i suppose it is not related with the custom rom) and is hard to hear in my "computer room"

stock is:

"InitVol"=dword:4B

=75 and that is more loud but I didn't like that

as you can see you can Change the notification Sound too if you want.

cool stuff for the next rom

some really cool things about the next Rom:

my rom's normally imageupdate on first boot with an so called CSCPackage , I was the only one that really used that

but this takes some time

all other Rom cookers disabled this by cooking in the CSCPackage , I didn't liked that because the phone would still boot in imageupdate mode to "try" the imageupdate the CSCPackage but then Errors out because the package was already cooked in , it then booted to the os.

I found a way to totally disable "first boot imageupdate" so after Flash it boots directly to the os , this saves lots of time :laugh:

so for the next rom this will be used and there will be no CSCPackage anymore

yes did a few test roms and Flash to boot os time was 2:45
normally Flash to boot os was about 8 mins with imageupdate
tested this with a BIG Rom ( 480MB)

Dynamics vs Vanila - Batterylife/sound settings

Hi all,

I am currently on the Dynamics ROM which I really like, the only disadvantage is that the battery draines really rapidly. (moderate use-only a 5-6 hours) Will this be different in the Within Vanila-ROM? I overlooked the specs of the ROM's and for me they looked quite similar (My native language, Dutch, is in the ROM and the other specs looks similar to me too). Is there a list somewhere with differences?

There is one feature I would really like: more advanced ringtone and vibrate-(profile-)settings
(For example: timed silence when sleeping, silence only for SMS etc. With andoid I used Phoneweaver for this)
Do you know if I overlooked an option or if there are tools/apps for this?

I installed this software a few days ago.

I have a problem with the Network Profile. Marketplace tells me that I have to install updates.

When I do it, the program stops working and says, "This device does not support network profiles. Use wireles manager instead. You can download it from the Samsung Zone. Network profiles will be terminated."

I also tried to install Network Profiles v1.13 from the XAP file, but it gives me the same error.

Only pre-installed Network Profile is working. I could not to update, but it will be showing on marketplace tile all time.

I don't change a OEM and a MODeviceName is still OMNIA7.

Is there any solution?

Before installation of this ROM, i installed stock ROM (7004).
After installation I noticed, that i had very old radio (from 7004), so I installed this I8700XEFLI1_Modem.cab
Could this make a problem?
