Lost 3G

After I installed the radio on my HTC Titan I lost 3G, it only work in EDGE!

What should I do?

list of radios?

is there a radio list for the titan i can download? the current radio i used to get this custom rom working does not have very good signal strength, i was in a restaurant with an at&t iphone friend and had zero signal yet he had full signal


i am finding inconsistencies in coverage and data connection now with this radio

Have you noticed a drop in signal strength with the new radio? I definitely get the grip of death whereas I never did previously.

my coverage in san diego area with my euro titan isn't very good after installing this radio in order to get the custom rom to work, is there a compiled radio list that we can experiment with for better results?

Install Advanced Configuration Tool of J Schapman (download it from Bazaar), then go to tweaks then check the box "Show 3G+ icon for HSDPA"

I noticed this change in signal strenght as well.

I also noticed that the carrier name has changed. It looks like my phone is connecting only to one of the frequencies my carrier uses.

In stock rom I could read 4g on my connection almost everywhere I went, but now, it only show 3g and not very consistently.

I've thinking about extracting the Radio.nbh from stock rom, but I don't know how to do it and HTCrie is crashing every time i try.

Is it possible for one of your good souls to extract them and make it available so we can test them one by one?

Otherwise, I'm considering going back to stock for the time being.

There is one thing , After i installed the Rom , When i connect to my Car Bluetooth , my contacts does not transfer to it.

Does anyone know Why?!?

Same signal drop here. It has the grip of death easily when holding at the bottom. Last night I had no signal and when I held it differently it went back up to 3 bars. Would be nice to go back to the AT&T/cingular radio.

Lost 3G

My 3G is back, but is noticeable the strength of the signal is lower than before this radio...

But i realized one thing, the users that is experiencing this problems, appear to be on carriers that use the 850Mhz for 3g, Like AT&T, Claro Brazil (Mine) and TIM Brazil...

Am I right?


Ahh! And hebinho, I dont think is possible to user the other radios, because the custom roms, doesn't appear to support radios older than 17 version, i tried, and the Titan gets stuck on HTC logo...

The version of the Radio of the link is: 1 7.5006.07a.17_17.06.50.06
And ours is: 17.5006.08.27_17.08.50.0 6

I know, is older than ours, but we should give it a try!

Hey, I had a problem flashing Radio to 17, never could. But I've found a custom ROM here that worked with radio 16. Maybe it doesn't have so many features, but works good and is fully unlocked (I think, I've installes Bazaar and I can -but didn't- modify registry). Maybe you can give it a try without having to go back to stock

You can't use radio 16 with this rom. there is one here that comes with 16.23.06.10. I really want the stock AT&T radio rom of 16.23.02.26. So I've extracted this radio and will be testing with the rom linked.

I now figured out that if I hold my phone differently I get better coverage but where is the phones antenna so that I too can avoid the death grip?

I've found with this radio 17, hold the phone in my left hand at the bottom and the signal just drops... bad.

Just flashed Titan Custom Rom by nhathoa. It boots with the stock cingular radio 16.23.02.26_A. Will keep an eye on signal strength compared to radio 17.

You can't use radio 16 with this rom. there is one here that comes with 16.23.06.10. I really want the stock AT&T radio rom of 16.23.02.26. So I've extracted this radio and will be testing with the rom linked.

this is exactly was I was trying to say, I have the same custom rom that you have now. I've been using it for four days now with no signal problems, and I have installed some caps also with no problems.
Sorry if I couldn't explain myself correctly, I am not an native speaker.
Anyway, with all the problems I've seen with radio 17 I'm gonna keep this one.

Have you tried the Titan custom rom? It has radio 16 in it.

I did!! and it was a great improvement.

But I remember having an even better reception with the stock AT&T, would you be able to avail the AT&T stock radio? or is this the same as in the rom?

I am on the verge of going back to this custom dft pearl edition rom, I'm having a streaming audio problem with all streaming audio apps, I've posted questions elsewhere but to no avail, has anyone else had experience with this kind of issue
