I wanted to be honest on the XDA forum. I could lie and asked something else to have a better answer than that. I am French and I found this phone in England , so hard to make it to its owner . I can always sell this mobile spare room. Finally, dr.ketan , I do not think the XDA forum always gives good legal solutions ! Isn't it ? I find many things to hack mobile on XDA forum. So I do not understand why nobody wants to answer. IMEI CHANGER does not seem much legal as well? you propose this software on the FORUM ?

Sorry, but it's not your phone. So it's not your right to behave with it as if you are the owner. It was a fault to take it away and NOT bring it right away to the police. Now maybe you better find a way to give it back through another way.

Restore IMEI

This topic already discussed and changing IMEI is illegal on almost countries and so not allowed on xda too. Hacking rooting etc are just unlocking while changing IMEI is totally different thing and changing illegally can lead to dangerous circumstances. In world thousands of crime solve with mobile and sim and major role for this success is IMEI itself.
So it is illegal and not allowed on xda.
The link you posted is just software hack and not real IMEI changer, it's not permanent. This tool is protect device from any other application that can steal your IMEI.

It means if i have 2 phone:
Phone A with imei 233222.
Phone B imei 445577.
i can back up/ write imei 445577 to phone A?

I bought the version on playstore today but it fails to create backup folders. It backs up the files to the root directory. I have mount space selected in su. How can I get it to create backup folders? Am I doing something wrong. I'm using n910g

Try uncheck and recheck mount namespace separation in supersu setting and reboot.
Now check wheather it does creates folder or not. If not then try to make new folder on Int SD and see does it allows or not. If not allowing then issue is IntSD writing error.

Thanks for the tool. One question: This doesn't make a backup of /dev/block/mmcblk0p10 (mounted on mdm1m9kefs3) which is 4MB in size. Is there any specific reason?

Factory mode on ?

I have this problem.
When i install new Rom from kies POF1. Every thing is fine Network works ime check is ther np at all, it remember wifi pas ect. .
Then when i restart phone i get Factory mode on (screen whit red letters). Keyboard lags when i type a sms and Video recording lags and it dont remember wifi pas. but Network is fine 4g is ther. ime check is ther.
When i use Custom rom Factory mode is on (screen whit red letters). ime is fine but ther are nothing in the EFS folder to edit.
When i use CM 12.1 No factory mode.

Question: is it possible to fix ?
The phone is fine iff i never restart it and never run emty on batteri hehe ;-/ and dont use Custom roms.

It's unique for every device. If someone share his/her backup then both device will be banned so why someone like to give it?
If we can share it then why on earth we need efs backup Tool

first of all i'm not in usa, i know efs is unique, my device has efs corrupted it continuously rebooting while optimizing apps i cant turn on usb debugging or diag port, bootloader locked, can't downgrade to kitkat, i need an efs backup to be able to boot the device normally.

Unable to make any call or texts, but data is working

Prior to texts and calls not working (also the fingerprints I had registered had suddenly stopped working), I LUCKILY made a backup using this tool and saved it to my PC. So after texts and calls stopped working, I used "EFS Professional" to restore my backup, which it said it completed successfully. I then rebooted my phone. I was relieved to find that my fingerprints was now working again, BUT calls and text are still not working at all. I am not sure what to do at this point. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

First I flashed stock everything: Flashed the newest stock rom using odin (OG5), factory reset multiple times (Recovery and through settings).
Next (after it still didn't work) I went into settings and started messing around with the Self Device Activation ("Activate this phone" link in settings).
I clicked the three small dots in the upper right hand corner and selected "Reset Cellular Data". Phone then restarted.
Then immediately went back into Self Device Activation and it asked if I would like to Activate, (So I clicked YES!!!).
Dialog popped up that said "writing to device.." then it completed successfully. Device then rebooted (again).
Once it started back up more dialogs popped up saying "Updating PRL" and "Updating Profile."
After they completed, I went and tested my luck with a call and POOF, it worked!
Tested text messages and it worked as well.
I have no idea why this worked or what was "written to my device," but my phone is now working as expected and it saved me a trip to the Sprint store!
Thanks again to Dr.Ketan as your backup most likely allowed me to find the fix! :victory:
