I'll add my 2c to this... great app... very promising.

I have a HTC/AT&T Pure (WVGA); this app works perfectly with it, no problems as far as I can see (other than the known issues previously stated).

Keep up the good work!

test on htc diamond 1 german

hello,

i test the app version 0.3 on the htc diamond 1 ger
i have the latest windows mobile 6.5.3 28014 on it and use latest driver from fw. 2.11

i found an error.

when i try to put down the volume through the hardware-buttons, most of the time the volume down/up would not work.
sometimes it works...

error for volume down with hardware-buttons:
the display from the control will be refreshed many many times (the scrollbars for volume), but nothing happens, no volume-down to decrease the volume works.

error for volume up with hardware-buttons:
when i press volume up with hardware-buttons, only increase 3 scrollbars, not more, than the same problem, display (scrollbars) will be refreshed many many times..
now volume down with hardware buttons works, but only too with 3 scrollbars...

but touch-screen control for volume (up/down) makes no problem...

test vibration-modus: Error
- not working, the melody is ringing whe a call is incoming

test silent-modus: Error
- not working, the melody is ringing whe a call is incoming

test loudness-control with touchscrren: Error
- Decrease or Increase the scroll-bars has no effect off the loudness of the melody...

think problem is that the loudness-controll is activated (scrollbars are shown), the silent or vibrate does not increase this scroll-bars...

After Deinstallation, normal Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Loudness-Control will not be shown, i must reflash my mobile phone :-(

wait for 0.04, thanks for reading...

Sorry, I've got no answer from MarcLandis and A_C how to control in call volume. I think the next version will not have this ability.
I will finish the overlay for youtube and similar apps and than I will possibly release 0.4 (if I don't find any other things to do). It should be done in the following week.

Works well...
Good work. One smaller issue... In the start menu, after the installation, there VK and VK settings options. Those two icons are just a white square, more precisely, it seems like you've never made an icon look for this little app.
Is this an known bug, or not?

Great work again

Best regards

It's not a bug. It has the default icon. My Photoshop skills are very limited so I've not made an icon.
I'm very good with Photoshop, so if you need any help with making an icon, feel free to ask.
Another suggestion for the v0.4 is that you can make "vibrate" and "silent" buttons colorful...

Best regards

Im using HTC Diamond with WM 6.5.3
I cant seem to launch the VolumeKeys from the taskbar, only from the side volume button.
Is there anyway i can attach it manually to the volume button in taskbar?
This look wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than default wm volume control:D

Thx! I'm testing it right now.

Edit: -The VolumeKeys 0.4 don't fit on qvga, it is too long, there is even a little scrollbar next to it. (in 6.5.x)
-When, the phone is in silent or vibrate mode, the hardkeys don't have any effect on the volume, it stays in the chosen mode but you see the volume in the bar going
up and down for just 3 or 4 steps.
-The taskbaricons still don't change, only a soft reset fixes the issue.

I'm sure this app has a bright future!
