SciLor's LaunchMe v0.2.5

attachment.php

SciLor's GrooveMobile is a Launchy like app launcher that runs apps by typing their name. Check the config.xml to add different folders (Currently only the Start Menu is used)

ReadMe

You will need the .NET Framework

SciLor's LaunchMe is a tool for launching apps by typing its name. You may know a similar tool called Launchy.
You may also call it as a "Run" Tool for Windows Mobile.

Check the config.xml to add other directories than the "Start Menu" and "Windows".

Great app, but...

I've noticed the follwing in my testing...

"Check for Updates" always causes "An unexpected error"
Deleting all typed characters causes all programs to be displayed in the results field
Search could be a little more comprehensive (ie: "live" does not bring up "Windows Live")
Application looks very "no frills", however this is negligible.

[Also, do you have any plans to continue working on GSensor Control?]

Thank you for your little review, I am missing my Updater DLL :/. I will add it in the next version.

I will also block showing all and add a feature that allows to find only parts of the filenames. The UI may also change :)

PS:
If you ask so, yes I may do :). Lets find me some time to do that soon!

Have you considered...

Well, yours'd have to be a lot prettier of an app, but check out some of the features of the app at the thread here for possible implementation. It was exactly what I was looking for, a WM6.5 start menu replacement/search, but still allowed access to the native start menu. Was buggy as H3LL, but had sooo F*&%IN' much potential. It seems as though the dev'd just totally abandoned it, but claims to workin' on some app that blow e'rone's socks off. ::shrugs::

This is a superb application. I have tons of apps installed on my device and recently discovered that having few hundreds of links in start menu eats about 30mb of Memory!. Well I moved all links to the storage card and the only launcher in the world that can run apps from ANY folder is yours. No one can do it. It is also very fast. No need to embellish it like caching icons if that will affect performance. One request though can you also add a separate search for contacts, tasks, calendar events and note. It would be great if you allow users to choose the results to overlap or not. It is a feature of zLaunchy app, where there are search panels A, B and C.
