[2013-09-22][Toolkit V1.4.1]Root , Unlock Bootloaders , Flash Recoveries & Kernels...

This toolkit is made for people who are lazy or new to all the things.
Plus this tool is the fastest (No need to write any thing) / easiest (One Click) / safest (some users might write a wrong partition) way to do what you need!
I will try to update this toolkit once every week, maybe more often, maybe less!


Before you continue, make sure you are clear about the consequences.
Rooting and unlocking your bootloader will make you loose your warranty.
I am not responsible for any mistakes you do with this tool, I just want to help you.

FAQ's

QUESTION:
Why does the bootloader unlock method of the toolkit not work for me?

ANSWER:
In most cases it doesn't work, because you have a different bootloader.
I'm on it to implement another method, too (see below), but it will take some time I guess
If you really want to unlock it, try this method:

Same here ... with my P880 (Euro, Switzerland), I just get LG Security checksum errors when I try to boot recovery. I tried TWRP. When this gave this error, I tried the CWM option of this tool here, but same error. Unlocking doesn't seem to work? When I chose unlock, it asks the up/down question, when you chose up, I also get the red Downlaod Mode!!! Message ... when I unplug the phone, it says I have to wait, botting for the first BL unlock ... but nothing seems to happen.

EDIT: Found a solution for my euro 4.1.2:

1. use adb shell to get to your phone, su root (adb is around in many tools here ... use any adb. Requires LGs USB drivers to be installed and the phone is recognized by windows)
2. Use "cat /sys/firmware/fuse/odm_reserved >/data/local/tmp/odm_reserved" to generate a textfile in the tmp directory
3. Go there by filebrowser and edit that odm_reserved file. Inside is a large number: 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000004000000000
4. Change this number, so that the last two zeroes read c8: 0x00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000040000000c8

(the forum inserts a space in the numbers, which doesn't exist in the file ... do not add a space, it is one big number)

5. Save the file
6. Now the reverse: "echo /data/local/tmp/odm_reserved >/sys/firmware/fuse/odm_reserved" ... not that it is echo here, not cat
7. That's it, your phone is unlocked. You can check that by going to the numberpad of the phone, enter "3845#*880#" for the secret menu and check the unlockstatus (further down in the menu)

Now you can happily boot CWM etc, that you installed with the All in one Tool.

QUESTION:
There is no download-link for Version X.X (WIP)! Why?

ANSWER:
This version isn't finished yet (WIP = Work In Progress). I just put the changelog in the 2nd post to always keep you up-to-date what I did / what I'm doing now.
Please don't panic or freak out 'cause you don't find the links, I will post them as soon as the version is ready!






QUESTION:
When trying to unlock my phone's bootloader, it stays on "DOWNLOAD MODE!!!"! What should I do to continue?

ANSWER:
Try installing these drivers manually in device manager, it should work then after a retry.
(How-To Install: Unzip the .rar and choose the folder on manual installation of drivers in device manager)

This is a commandline tool so it's supposed to be extracted to a folder on the computer and run from there (with phone connected via cable in download mode perhaps?)

Before you start ,, go to Settings/About Phone/Software information/software version.
If it's "EUR-xxx" then you can unlock it by this tool .
But if it's another thing then you can't unlock it .

Download the tool ,, extract the folder (by 7zip , winrar , windows explorer ..etc) .
Then open the folder ,, double click on "[All-In-One][P880].bat" .

The tool will ask you if you have the drivers ,, install them if you don't have .
Then the tool will show you 8 options .

In your phone go to Settings/Developer Options/Check "USB Debugging" ,, then connect phone .

Then choose the number of Bootloaders (option 2) ,, then your phone will restart and will show (on the screen) a confirmation to unlock your bootloaders ,, wait until your bootloaders been unlock .
IF YOU UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADERS , THIS WILL FORMAT YOUR PHONE , INCLUDING APPS , PHOTOS , VIDEOS ...

After the phone boot up ,, go to Setting/Developer options/check "USB Debugging" (The same as you did before) .

Connect phone ,, choose CWM Recovery option .

By the way .. "GBoot Menu" is much better than CWM .

That's all .

Making it for linux shell is much easier than on cmd . But If there is a linux user , then he has the enough knowledge and doesn't need a tool .
I have some experience with linux shell scripting ,, setup ADB on linux is more difficult than it's on windows ,, 99% of the use windows because it's famous and easy to use ,, plus it supports most of the flashing tools .

Maybe I will make one works inside the phone (In the terminal) . To make it easier switching from recoveries & kernels .
