I too had that issue. But attributed it to not factory resetting after cache(both)wipes and a system wipe. Haven't had a chance to ask mbq about it. But it seems like it maybe a partially dirty flash conflict if that makes sense. Also I'm not a dev just retraced my steps and that's what i could figure.

Lurking on my AOSPA/AK device.

Hm. Will do a clean flash a little later. If problem still persists then the complaining will pour in :p

Uh oh. I did a clean flash and now root is broken. I had this problem on an earlier build..04/09 i think..so i went to the milestone build. Decided to dirty flash the last few updates over the milestone build and it was fine until latest update gave me the apps not opening issue. But root wasn't broken. Weird.

Now i clean flashed 04/16 and root was still broken. Weird....04/16 worked when dirty flashed over the milestone.

If you dirty flash.... NO COMPLAINING! :)
i did a squeaky clean flash, and i had the same issue. it happens if i try to open the apps from the app drawer or the launcher dock. i can open a few from inside folders i have on the homescreen. flashed AK v108 kernel, and that seems to have solved the issue. (altho, maybe just wiping cache and Dalvik might have been the answer).

i also was denied root access, like someone else said. but, after flashing the new AK kernel, i also have root back (i don't know what, if anything, that would have to do with it, but it worked).

so far, REALLY digging the rom!! i like the new BA (little things like that are cool to me). BIG thanks MBQ!!

So is anyone else having issues of losing root? I'd like to flash but I want to make sure the kinks are worked out.

i was initially denied root access after flashing 4/18. but, i flashed a new kernel (AK v108 and AK SKL 200), and utilized Super SU, and root access granted. not sure if it was the kernel or using a different SU app...but, it's all good in the 'hood now!!!
