I actually did, but I thought showlyshah was refering to the sandy scorpion and not the Tarantula and wanted to make sure. This was a very promising project and one of the most stable HD2 andoird developments. I wish there was a way this could continue!

Which I asked my self.., what more could I add to the rom and how much more can I tweak it..., and I havent got an answer. actually I asked here on this thread long time back about any possible tweaks or modifications that I should add. Well got some replies and based on that I released v6. XX.

Now if any one can take the responsibility of carrying further., I am happy to handover ( just becoz I no longer own an hd2). Pm me if any one can.

That rom is just amazing for the daily usage......
Hope hd2 never dies. personally I still love it even more than s4 mini....

But if you want to use the newes version, accidentally I found a way to enable data. install root explorer, then go to system folder, and tap on mount button to be r/w. then enable data, it should work!!! after any reboot, you need to do this.

So I am coming back to Hyperdroid based on it's stability and speed for over 1 yr use back in the days of heady honeybadger. I had lots of trouble not getting any 2G/3G data w/ new version 6.0.1 and 6.1.0. Currently on Tangled Tarantula magldr, normal version, seader kernel. my system dir was already r/w.

Found that the APN selected was Simple Mobile instead of the T-MOBILE US APN. Go to settings, Mobile network settings, Access point names... Set to Tmobile US and data is great.

Doh! Well, everyone pulls a homer simpson sometimes. I miss some of the newer OS features but gingerbread on HD2 w/ Hyperdroid is just worry free living.

This ROM is near perfect as it is brother but surely there are a few things to add to make it just spot on!!

I would have picked up the gauntlet and carried on the rest of the way should I had the know how but unfortunately I am far from it :banghead:

But if the reason you no longer continue is cause you don't have an HD2 any longer I am well prepared to buy one and send it over to you. This would be the least I can do to say thanks for all the good this rom has done for me

Do let me know if you really feel like continuing and I will send you your free HD2 ASAP

I don't know why!!!

I found a way to mount /system in rw mode after reboot.
with root explorer navigate to /system/etc/init.d and open 77extreme in text editor mode. and change this line

busybox mount -o ro,remount /system

to

busybox mount -o rw,remount /system

then data should work after a reboot! I don't know why, but it's working! :good:

Does anyone know how to make wifi and data stop disconnecting when the screen is off? This is the only problem I have with this rom. I could live with this if I was not using Whatsapp - it really annoys me that I only get the messages when I wake the device. Thanks for your replies
P.S. Background data and auto-sync is ON in the acc&sync settings

+1 on that. I'm a line and viber groups user and have the same problem. The screen has to be on for wifi to connect and I recieve my messages

Wifi settings -> advanced -> sleep policy
You can set it to always on.

after 3 years+, i still have 2x HD'2s and using them like an ass kicking device

even sent mine for a $80 repair for a screen malfunction

and keep coming back to this ROM when i need it to work

What about battery life?
Battery drain is very low (2-5 ma for me in standby). If you want to have optimal battery standby options install Superpower from the market.

I'm getting poor battery life / drains fast
...it was draining fast even with the previous Win 7.8 rom

Tried to install again (using MAGLDR1.13 version and ClockWorkMod Recovery v3.0.2.4), still same problem... installation goes smooth, but when booting, I only reach green HTC logo... Any advice? I used SLIM ROM prior this, it worked fine, but just was slow and not responsive... so I decided to try out HyperDroid.

check your partitions again
internal AND external

partitions on the memory card should be like data first, then ext, then swap(if you're using it)
