Correct decision. At least one review site has the balls to call like it is, a defect.I got my 3rd 512gb s23u,the other 2 i returned them because of the bubble button right corner, the 2nd one ,the crease wasn't too pronounced. Anyway,i ordered from Samsung uk the graphite colour this time. The other 2 were black and green.
This one has it too, even bigger,i didn't need any light to aee it. We called it bubble as it looks like but it is in fact an indentation.
The other 2 phones were from EE. I talked to a tech guy from EE and he said right away that it's delamination of the panel and it could spred over time or not.
I have a galaxy s8(5 years old), mint condition as it was in a case and screen protector on,still functional 100% apart of screen burn. The amoled panel is perfect, my previous s22u,s22u, note 8,9,10 and 20 were perfect, why i can tell this with certainty is because on all of them i installed a screen protector on. I use a flash light to be able to see dust particles, like this i saw the dent on the 1st s23u.Correct decision. At least one review site has the balls to call like it is, a defect.
Knowing Samsung's history, defect handling track record and their lacksidaisical support I would've return it the next day for a cash refund at this point. Lamination defects tend to propagate over time, ask Boeing or Airbus. The phone corners are high stress areas to begin with. At this price point it's completely unacceptable even if it's just cosmetic.
A indentation in a laminate implies something is missing or misshaped.I have a galaxy s8(5 years old), mint condition as it was in a case and screen protector on,still functional 100% apart of screen burn. The amoled panel is perfect, my previous s22u,s22u, note 8,9,10 and 20 were perfect, why i can tell this with certainty is because on all of them i installed a screen protector on. I use a flash light to be able to see dust particles, like this i saw the dent on the 1st s23u.
I don't care about cosmetic issue or not, it is a manufacturing defect ,is like you buy a brand new car with a dent on the bonnet, the car function perfectly right, but it is a brand new car you wanted to be perfect, same in this case
Mine is produced in May 2023 in Vietnam for the Australia market, has that wrinkle. I don't think that's a big deal anyway. If it's still impacting newly made phones, it's obviously not a defect, exactly as they said.
For the record, mine is exactly the same size as it was on release day. Just a very tiny almost imperceptible blip that I never would have even noticed were it not for people pointing it out online.
It depends on the degree of blur as well as location. A small amount blurring near the outside edges is normal. The less blur near the center region the better. It can also vary between lens of the same model. However most lens including ones the cost thousand$ have varying degrees of blur across the lense. The degree of blur matters. Some small amount of blur is always present.
Blackhawk has not had a Samsung flagship phone since the S10+ which is now on quarterly updates and by end of 2023 it will be on bi-annual updates and will never get any future android versions. By 2024 it will be obsolete and worthless from a security and software stand point But he loves the thing so much that nobody else is allowed the satisfaction of enjoying a newer model
I found nothing disrespectable about the comment. What I do find disrespectable is a certain individual that constantly runs down everything not an N10+. I also find it concerning that the moderators allow disrupters of his ilk to continue to get away with this type of obnoxious behavior.
I told him exact same thing in other topic, as it looks like he creates them only to moan about s23, but to return the device you have to have it first
This place is way too over moderated. That's not even rude. Fear mongering = "the action of deliberately arousing public fear or alarm about a particular issue" which is exactly what is being done here by someone who doesn't even have the phone and always has to talk down about every single other phone while holding onto his N10+ for dear life. Every little issue that gets reported he blows up into a big thing warning people not to get the phone or to return it. It gets old. I'm not the only one who's sick of it. You guys wonder why people like myself who have been here for years (2007 in my case) are leaving and it's exactly because of this crap. He gets away with this stuff while we get scolded like toddlers
