CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Note: You need to flash the package right after you install the ROM. If you boot up and then go back and flash it, your phone won't boot.

What's Broken :

• All services die if we toggle Airplane mode/WiFi and then lock screen before 5-10 minutes. Workaround already described, don't lock your device immediately after toggling a wireless interface

I'll slowly phase this out but please don't ask for an ETA.

here are the issues iv'e found so far :

Working -
calling, wifi ,Gps, proximity sensor ,light sensor ,

Not Working
Camera app missing , 3rd party camera apps are not working as well
Bluetooth
Audio - no audio from both the speakers, microphone not working ,music player & Audio Fx force close
Hall sensor
battery status
Can't play any video
About -Device Model = Unknown

@Dharma Samsthapana bunch of logcats needed from the 201605(08|10) nightly (nightlies)

1) Trying to play video, capture a log of 1 minute before up till one minute after the attempt.
2) Same timings with Bluetooth toggle
3) Logcat of booting up also required, i.e. when device is on the bootanimation (needed to verify battery percentage fix)

Bluetooth and video logs are kinda small. Can you provide them again? Thanks in advance.


Edit: Battery Stats seem to be an SELinux denial issue, will investigate, in the meantime please try the 20160511 nightly from the same link : http://msfjarvis.me/ROMs

setenforce 0

in a terminal and report back with what bugs does it fix(should fix a bunch of the serious ones IIRC)

I know, the nightlies are for upstream CyanogenMod updates. @DHARMESH17 just PM'ed me saying he fixed some bugs, but hasn't told which or how. Awaiting his reply.

P.S. Which browser do you have with the ROM?

Edit: Can you look up on Google how to get a dmesg on Android and grab the one just after boot? TIA

The one that comes by default with CM ,and there's another issue ,flash light from drop down menu is also not working
