"2. Why does an MP3 player need 256GB, I mean that's 25600 songs, seriously who has that kind of music collection. "

I actually need that, my whole collection is lossless and ~160GB (and only about 6,000 songs) and I'd love to have it all stored locally as my go-to external DAC/amp for use with my Beyerdynamic T5p only works via the app UAPP which more or less demands local storage.

Don't even talk to me about streaming - data coverage and cost and caps here make this completely unrealistic as a solution. I can stream with transcoding down to mp3 from my NAS, and also subscribe to Spotify, so it's not as if I haven't tried the streaming thing.

I'm at ~110gb of VBR MP3 music. I have no idea what that would be lossless. Yes. That's a lot of music. Some folks have large music collections and don't listen to the bloody radio for anything but news. I like to pick a genre hit shuffle and drive. 1tb or 2tb would be great.

256mb SDXC would let me can the iPod classic. Streaming isn't an option for me either.

CD quality that'd probably be around 350gb in FLAC @ 44/16. WAV would be around 500GB to 1TB @ 44/16.

Sent from my XT1053 using HoFo mobile app.

The biggest tip off was when he said packaging was causing a delay? He is saying that with a straight face talking about an item smaller than the nail on my pinky finger!

I'm using a 64gb SDXC card in the Note 3 at the moment, but she's a tad full with music. I see that I can get a 128gb locally., but has anybody tried a card bigger than 64gb and had it work successfully?

First time reading this thread and wow i actually cannot believe a few people fell for this scam, surely you buy from trusted websites such as amazon or even the actual makers websites etc!

I would of thought that some random person turning up on a forum offering stuff is pretty obvious its bad news lol

I'm sure many who paid for these were silly enough to fall for the scam, but a lot I'm sure knew full well it was a scam but knowing they'd get their money back from PayPal they just wanted to feel involved and get some satisfaction from people looking at their posts and and just being the centre of attention for a while.

Thanks for this thread.

I've just bought a couple of Nifty Adaptors http://minidrive.bynifty.com
for my "on the way out" MacBooks (yeah I know)
plus I've ordered a Sandisk 128GB micro SSD http://www.sandisk.com.au/products/memory-cards/microsd/ultra-class10-for-android/ direct from them

until i figure the best way to escape from iTunes & Apple my use case need is for additional flush (aka not sticking out aka breakable) memory and not more external hard drives & peripherals to carry or juggle with.
I have a few data heavy applications I use on the laptop (filemaker databases, Devonthink etc) but hopefully being able to save all the music podcasts videos etc onto the micro SSD might be one step forward ?
... especially if once de-Appled I could put the same micro SSD in my phone or whatever other device

Streaming or cloud access is not a practical option for me most of the time.

I'd be quite happy to go back to (say) an old school Panasonic Toughbook or similar - with a handle, built in shoulder strap lugs, big memory (ideally 2 hard drives) built in sim-card / GSM radio - but that option isn't available and the battery would be terrible

so the modern idiom is sleek, light, responsive, with long battery life (all good) but low capacity SS Hard drives - (cos all your stuff is readily accessible in "the cloud")

whatever - I'm not sure 128GB is quite enough but it will instantly improve the capacity on the stupid MacBooks by 150%

EGO-360 256GB MicroSDXC UHS-I card with USB Adapter
    http://www.myego360.com/products/ego-360-256gb-microsdxc-uhs-i-card-with-usb-adapter

Found some info from the developer:
    Hi Guys,
My name is Jonathon Dodge, I am the lead designer for EGO-360. We developed our new range of microSD cards out of necessity, we were buying thousands of cards every month and our microSD providers were aways giving us delays, price increases and excuses. So I designed our new cards with the best component supplier Samsung. Our class range is class 10 cards are driven by SDR50 and our UHS-I by SDR104.

Now unlike some manufacturers that advertise fast speeds that are way off, we have the average speeds on our website. We test 30 cards in 3 groups, 1000 times. The three test environments ( Hot and Humid), ( Cold and Dry) & ( Office 22C within an Electromagnetic field). We write an encrypted code up to full capacity, verify & delete ( not format) 1000x per card.

Our cards work in most devices that I have tested, I have a 256GB SDXC card (exFat) in my Samsung S4 and the fastest it writes is 13.75mbytes, which is slower than some others.

We are users that have become manufacturers to support users like us....

    Kindest Regards,

    Jonathon

    EGO-360 microSD cards

Did op order? Because until somebody orders and verifies thread title needs to be changed. The description quoted just reeks of scam and all the pictures show 32gb generic micro sd's with generic USB adapters to boot.

    sent from my sm-9005.

Jonathon Dodge here, this not a scam and I took that picture quickly to get something into our product descriptions. We have had an issue with the packaging of the first shipments due to it's size and it fitting into our accessory blister packages of our other products. So with the new packaging coming through this week, my graphics team with take some pretty pictures and updated the product profiles and apologies for any inconvenience.

Our first two shipments were sold before they even hit our door to people close this project and our third shipment will be shipped by air on Thursday to our international buyers after coming through customs here in Australia.

We test 1% of every shipment for quality assurance and everything comes to me in Australia before the cards are shipped out across the world.

I have attached my Korean team's average sample h2testw jpg for you to review and if anyone would like to ask me a question, Im happy to help.

    Kindest Regards,

    Jonathon Dodge

Thats a fair comment, however we primarily developed these microSD card for ourselves and thought we would put them them out there is see what would happen. We never expected to sell any... Buy or Don't that's an individual choice, we bundle them with our other products.

    Kindest Regards,

    Jonathon

You should have it reviewd by a reliable online news agency like Engadget to get some trust in
