Its grayed out because you need to download it. Once downloaded you will be able to check/uncheck what you want to install.

On stock MIUI on my other HD2 I have always been able to select what I want before downloading. That way I don't have to download extra crap onto my phone.

For those who have an EXT partition, could anyone post their debug logs please?

They are located at:

What do you mean by customizations? Changing Lockscreens? Changing Lockscreen's Wallpaper? :confused

Theme->customization->locksreen-> in the bottom you will see a not activated customization tab. It's basically to customize lockscreen, to put weather, calender. You will find it in stock MIUI. though it's not activated. Means you can't click on it. I want to have calender and weather on my lock screen. Hope I clear my problems this time.

Hi Aternus, here are the logs as requested.
I've been using this rom for around a week now. Everything works ok however the rom is nowhere near as fluid as the previous release.
There are a lot of 1 second freezes when pressing buttons in the gui or lunching apps all after a clean wipe.
Build.prop tweaks do not seem to make as big of a difference as with the previous release.
Everything is running on a Patriot 16GB class 10.

I think that there must be the way to turn off that IDE thing.
It lags as hell on my current setup, so I'd like to use Link2SD or INT2EXT+, which is surprisingly good.

Anyway, that's a good ROM for HD2. I miss some features from v4 though, but v4 is nowhere near as fast as this one.

what is i18N btw..??

Internationalization for myMIUI...

The platform and the tools are ready, even majority of the translations have been made. Now its time to get it up on GitHub. :)

As with myMIUI AROMA Installer, I will need your help in making the translations.
The process mostly includes editing XML files. There are some design work involved but I've taken care of that; nevertheless if you find issues you're welcome to report.

@P.S
The new version fixes a sh*t load of bugs related to MIUI 2.4.20 resource handling so the faster we get the translations ready the sooner you'll get a better myMIUI experience :)

Stay tuned for the GitHub link...

Are you saying that unless multilang, the new ROM will be improvements to system resources?

I returned to version 14 because 15 was too slow for me.

Fisrt of all thanks to Aternus for this wonderful ROM. It is really awesome n cool. One of the best ROMs I've ever installed :)

Btw I don't understand what you guys mean as slow in this ROM. Because it is very smooth and has 0% lag, also I've the ext partition in my sd card and using this ROM for more than a week :) So please let me know it what scenario it has a LAG?

For me the slow down has occured with apps. They load slower and process commands slower. For instance my Gmail takes about three seconds to delete everytime I hit the button now.

Nope, you'll need at least 160MB (currently, when only 50% of the translations are done, it takes 133MB - I think that after all the translations are in place it will be around 155MB)

Well, people reported mixed results, some say they have no lag at all, some, like me, experience slowdowns...

The problem lies in the SDCards, which vary greatly on I/O.
I bought two cards, which are the exact same model but got different results in the I/O benchmarks.

Furthermore, from the logs people sent, it seems that each boot there are errors on the EXT partition, which means the SDCard doesn't close properly on power-off.

While its all dandy to have your DATA partition on EXT theoretically, I'm starting to realize why it's haven't been implemented previously by other developers. It's unreliable, and hardly brings improvements in terms of performance. :\

Nevertheless, it does hold the benefits of "unlimited" space; Which is why I'm going to revery back to myMIUI SCRTM© with a customized version of App2SD.
This time its going to move /data/app & /data/data to the EXT partition and nothing else.

I'm sorry to disappoint the ones who reported running out of space b/c dalvik-cache but SDCards just isn't reliable enough for this kind of usage.

myMIUI i18n Project - MIUI Internationalization

The time you all been waiting for has finally come!

After many hours of work, I've finally managed to write all the needed tools for a complete, easy to maintain, ROM translation. This is where you step in; this is the time to show your support, not only to myMIUI but to your nation! Now its the time to make myMIUI in your native language!

    #Information

    Information

    myMIUI IDE© (Internal Data Extension)
PLEASE DON'T USE ANY THIRD PARTY TOOLS!

The ROM includes cutting edge technology to extend your phone's internal memory by using SDCard's EXT partition.
Furthermore, all the great features below been integrated directly into the kernel. No need to worry about security, performance or stability issues.

    Included in myMIUI IDE©:

    1. UNLIMITED INTERNAL MEMORY
    2. UNLIMITED CACHE MEMORY
    3. Legendary myMIUI SCRTM©
    4. Cache2DATA
    5. Apps2EXT
    6. Dalvik2EXT
    7. Data2EXT

What you need to enable myMIUI IDE©:

    1. BACKUP ALL DATA FROM SDCARD
    2. format SDCard
    3. create an EXT2/3/4 partition on your SDCard (recommended: 1GB EXT / 0MB SWAP)
    4. perform a reboot

    How it Works?
When the ROM detects an SDCard with an EXT partition, it will run the SCRTM© routine after which the EXT partition will become your userdata partition (a.k.a. "/data").
This will allow unlimited internal memory for your HTC HD2; performance may be severely degraded with low class SD cards!

    Clean Start
If you ever need a clean start, just switch your SDCard with a clean one and the system will automatically reset itself.

    Users without an EXT partition
Although users without an EXT partition will not see the benefit of myMIUI IDE©, they won't experience any issues whatsoever. The ROM will use the internal NAND memory from their "/data" partition.

Important Note: For IDE© enabled phones; Do not remove your SDCard from your phone while its on. Doing so may cause data corruption and/or OS freeze.

    zipAlign
The ROM speeds up your performance by using a zipAlign routine which will tweak all your applications so that they will run optimally on the Android OS.
The routine uses a database for all the applications which it already tweaked so it won't tweak the same application twice.
If you install a lot of new applications that need tweaking, it might take some time for your phone to boot up; the speed greatly depends on the application size.

What you need to enable zipAlign:

    1. SDCard with at least 100MB of free space
    2. nothing else! everything is done at boot time automatically

    Nexus S ID
The first question you might ask yourself is: "why would I want to spoof my device's identity?"
The answer is simple: Google Play Marketplace downloads.

By default the ROM identifies the device as a "generic HTC HD2" which is the correct way of naming our beloved HTC HD2, although some users might want to change that so that they can install applications that weren't meant to run on HD2.

What you need to spoof your device identity to Nexus S:

    1. Select "Nexus S ID" while installing
    2. nothing else! everything is done automatically

WARNING: If you install an application and it crashes, its because its not compatible/been improperly installed due to the fake device configuration.

Some applications, especially from the Market use the device information to perform different installation routines (figure out SDCard mount points, OpenGL compression methods, etc...), so use at your own risk ;)
