well..in terms of benchmarks I find it to be almost 10% faster than nand..I am using class4 sd card..and for high end sd users this could give a awesome performance..for user it would be great to run two or three or many roms at one time..single rom on nand..and many working roms from .nativesd' directory..I think u shud consider this for our beloved 'mymiui' rom..

some changes in init and adding an install.sh file could convert this for native sd..I tried to do it from dsixda kitchen..but got stuck on kernel boot screen..(as i dont know bout editing init.rc..)..I just tried..from taking help from another native sd roms..but no success..:(

bro..I think u shud reconsider nativesd in this rom..thanks..:)

Yes, indeed! And think about users with bad blocks on NAND (as me, for example) -> I have a 8gb class10 SD so NativeSD equals to me with +++ of performance & no more headaches with the bad blocks. NativeSD seems to be the future of HD2 roms (as I see it).
Would be nice to see every ROM with a NativeSD version, as it's just so easy to get the Dual Installer ("replace 2 files and add 1")

Even if the volume bar is changing, the volume is not changing...

Tapatalked from my HD2

+1 here for the radio volume. Kind of annoying when you try to hear the news or a live game. Any ideas how to solve this?
I will test V15.

Other than this, it´s a awesome ROM. Very light, responsive and stable. Could have some more tweaks, like power button, but it´s super as it is.

It seems you're confusing between the real NativeSD and moving your NAND partitions to the SDCard.

@Real NativeSD
Is made for WM users who want to test different Android ROMs without altering their NAND.
SD versions isn't suited for daily use, as simple as that. :p

@Mounting NAND partitions to the SDCard
HD2 is a mobile platform, and as such it has some constrains which it should adhere to. The main purpose of myMIUI is to provide a cutting-edge, fast and stable ROM for daily use.

While the NAND might be slower than some of the SDCard out there, its serves a big purpose to the HD2 platform. The key is balancing bandwidth between NAND and SDCard usage. If you move everything to either one of those, you won't see any benefit; that's why we have the separation right now.
All critical parts of the platform still remain on NAND while userdata is mounted on EXT-enabled SDCards.

The short version is - HD2's SD port, same as NAND, has it's bandwidth limits; no, I'm not going to move everything to SDcard.

so why all the devs are moving their roms to nativeSD??and everyone on this forum says that its faster than nand..i do not disagree with you because i do not know.i just want to know why everybody says the different from what u said!!thx a lot

First of all, if you read carefully, no developer has ever said that one method is absolutely faster than the other. Each has its own perks.

Apps2SD History
Back in the AD2EXT+ days, by using many mount points and symlinks it made the ROMs buggy, unpredictable and unstable; which in my opinion was a really high price to pay for a very minor performance gain.

By creating myMIUI SCRTM© I've managed to solve most of these issues but couldn't move dalvik-cache to EXT due to the early use of dalvik by the Android VM.

Up until recently it was difficult to control the boot environment but with the help of other developers, we've managed to pinpoint the exact stages on which each action happens; which in turn allowed the creation of myMIUI IDE©.

The "Dancing Bear" Phenomenon
Ask yourself, if a bear could dance, would it help him in any way?

Just because it would be cool for users to have their ROM on the SDCard, would it benefit them in any way? The answer is no.

Theoretically, because your SDCard is faster than the NAND it should make the ROM faster, while practically, there is never a case when android read/writes one file at a time.
Most of the time Android OS reads/writes many small files at once, that's when access times and bandwidth comes into play.

By separating the Android OS from your DATA on two physical devices, you provide two pipes for the CPU. Additionally, the access times for NAND<->CPU is lower than SDCard<->CPU; since this is the way the platform was designed initially.
Applications on the other hand, which load large chunks of DATA to RAM really benefit from the higher SDCard speeds.

To Sum Up
OS on NAND & DATA on EXT is currently the best combination.
As you can see from the NAND forums, there is only one ROM with NativeSD. Don't take it wrong, NativeSD is very useful for developers but its superfluous for daily users.

Thanks @aternus for info regarding native sd..we like mymiui as u design it..:)
Anyways..I am playing aroung with mymiui 15b1 since morning..
First of all..really fast than previous one..and that huge amount of system memory looks great(because of IDE©)..;)

But I experienced some issues..first of all..when battery goes down below 5%..after connecting charger or usb watever..phone reboot itself suddenly..this is a major issue for daily users..(if I am not the only one to experiance this..)
Another one was..after first reboot..the phone sound(during call not music..I mean..conversation during call) is badly messed up..it is like bad signaled radios of old time..I mean..cant even understand the voice..:(
These two are major issues till now..will tell u more if I experience something new..:)
btw rom is speedy like woww..:)

and one more thing..from (*#*#4636#*#* ->phone information) rmnet0 is shown under gsm disconnects..and below this variable ppp sent and ppp received values are there..what does this mean..I mean..am i using ppp or rmnet..??
If ppp..then how can I change it to rmnet..??

tapatalked from my NEXUS S..;)

Hello

I m testing your Rom for the fisrt time and I find it very fast, good work !
However I don't find French Language and I don't know how to set another email account (personnal pop/imap account and professionnel Microsoft Exchange account (Maybe I have to download from the market an application for this ?).
Thanks for your help

myMIUI Installer

myMIUI installer have been fully localized and now I need your help translating the strings to your native language :)

Available Languages

English - by aternus
Greek - by jolas, zach.antre
Spanish - by darkdyo
Polish - by kubekpop
Portuguese - by fadox
Hebrew - by aternus
Dutch - by uloga
Russian - by sergey, aternus
German - by waldemator
Italian - by saint tropez
Turkish - by metra01
Danish - by pokeman
Norwegian - by arvter
French - by patrick lesimple

Missing Languages

Arabic/Farsi, Hungarian, Korean, Slovenian, Vietnamese.

How to Translate

1) Download the source file.

2) Make a copy of the source file and rename it to the language you'd like to translate.

Example:
pl.lang for Polish
el.lang for Greek
ar.lang for Arabic

NOTE: the full list of locales is available at the URL specified inside the source "en.lang" file.

3) Open the copy of the file and translate all strings which appear to the right to the equal sign (=)

Example:
text_next=Next becomes text_next=Next_in_your_language

NOTES:
  • in the string there might be styling and new line characters.
  • a new line character is represented by a backslash (\)
  • styling characters are similar to HTML/XML tags. they begin with a <tag> and end with a </tag> (where tag is the actual styling attribute)
  • you don't need to translate the styling characters!
  • you don't need to touch the new line characters!

4) After you're done, please upload the file to PasteBin or attach it here in a reply.

Download the source file in English
Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ejea75caynor0

Thanks!

    myMIUI IDE© (Internal Data Extension)
PLEASE DON'T USE ANY THIRD PARTY TOOLS!

The ROM includes cutting edge technology to extend your phone's internal memory by using SDCard's EXT partition.
Furthermore, all the great features below been integrated directly into the kernel. No need to worry about security, performance or stability issues.

    Included in myMIUI IDE©:

    1. UNLIMITED INTERNAL MEMORY
    2. UNLIMITED CACHE MEMORY
    3. Legendary myMIUI SCRTM©
    4. Cache2DATA
    5. Apps2EXT
    6. Dalvik2EXT
    7. Data2EXT

What you need to enable myMIUI IDE©:

    1. BACKUP ALL DATA FROM SDCARD
    2. format SDCard
    3. create an EXT2/3/4 partition on your SDCard (recommended: 1GB EXT / 0MB SWAP)
    4. perform a reboot

    How it Works?
When the ROM detects an SDCard with an EXT partition, it will run the SCRTM© routine after which the EXT partition will become your userdata partition (a.k.a. "/data").
This will allow unlimited internal memory for your HTC HD2; performance may be severely degraded with low class SD cards!

    Clean Start
If you ever need a clean start, just switch your SDCard with a clean one and the system will automatically reset itself.

    Users without an EXT partition
Although users without an EXT partition will not see the benefit of myMIUI IDE©, they won't experience any issues whatsoever. The ROM will use the internal NAND memory from their "/data" partition.

Important Note: For IDE© enabled phones; Do not remove your SDCard from your phone while its on. Doing so may cause data corruption and/or OS freeze.

    zipAlign
The ROM speeds up your performance by using a zipAlign routine which will tweak all your applications so that they will run optimally on the Android OS.
The routine uses a database for all the applications which it already tweaked so it won't tweak the same application twice.
If you install a lot of new applications that need tweaking, it might take some time for your phone to boot up; the speed greatly depends on the application size.

What you need to enable zipAlign:

    1. SDCard with at least 100MB of free space
    2. nothing else! everything is done at boot time automatically

    Nexus S ID
The first question you might ask yourself is: "why would I want to spoof my device's identity?"
The answer is simple: Google Play Marketplace downloads.

By default the ROM identifies the device as a "generic HTC HD2" which is the correct way of naming our beloved HTC HD2, although some users might want to change that so that they can install applications that weren't meant to run on HD2.

What you need to spoof your device identity to Nexus S:

    1. Select "Nexus S ID" while installing
    2. nothing else! everything is done automatically

WARNING: If you install an application and it crashes, its because its not compatible/been improperly installed due to the fake device configuration.

Some applications, especially from the Market use the device information to perform different installation routines (figure out SDCard mount points, OpenGL compression methods, etc...), so use at your own risk ;)

As always the file will be available in about 45 mins...

This will be the last version based on Gingerbread. Next version will be JellyBean, that is, if I find enough time to debug it...
