A few days ago I managed to activate Google Music although not living in the U.S..

All we had to use a proxy service Hide my IP (trial version is enough) for the activation only. Since that time I used the service without problems.
After this you can upload up to 20.000 songs on the Google servers and listen on the phone by using Google Music from the market (use Google Enabler whit an USA operator setting) by streaming if you have a WI-FI network available or a good data plan, or make available for offline playing.
The second interesting thing that you can acces you music from any computer that is connected to the internet (I have a notebook, a netbook, a PC and the good old DEFY and... for me is very important to have is all in one place).

The only downside is that you do not have access to Google Music Market.

To put songs on the server you need Google's Music Manager you can find on the main page or the attachments.

If you have questions I will respond as quickly as I can.

Update 28.02.2012

I managed to "buy" all the free songs.

Whit the proxy program active I introduced a valid credit card number and a valid adress from US (search on google about both).
The first time I have an error that my credit card was not accepted but after that i could add all the 50 free song to my Google Music library.

If you want another program for the proxy PM me.

Hit the Thank button if you like it.

How do you mean for activation only? I activated it from a proxy. It asked me to confirm my account as I logged in from a different location. When I try to go to music.google.com without the proxy, it tells me I need to be in the USA.

Very strange. I have activated for me and my friend and it worked.
I attached a print screen to confirm it.

I found something. The market appears my phone is AT & T network America.
And my friend as he appears the same.

I hope i am not the only lucky guy. That's why I posted here.

If anyone has succeeded please post.

Ok, tried it again. You need a proxy with fully working scripts as I didn't get the accept licence window.
Now I can open it without proxy. Using the program you suggested worked. You can buy songs if you use a proxy. I tried to buy the free song but apparently you need to have a credit-card in your wallet for 'account verification'. It's a bit fair, but Y no paypall... :(

The music uploaded by the user is max 20.000 songs.
I wrote the first post that does not work and music store, only to upload a large number of songs that you can access them wherever you are and I think it's cool.

It is worse than that. They want a US credit card to let you buy Music on Android Market. If you try to use a credit card from another country, you get a prompt to add another credit card to your account.

Yes, I know, music market is not working, I wrote in first post. Google only accepts payments only by card and because it is a U.S. only service card must be in U.S..
I personally have made payment whit a credit card in the Market for some applications and had no problems. I trust google:)
