thanks a lot for ur help :)

can u help me with one more problem?

I noticed u r on mobinil too, have u encountered the problem of calling an "emergency number" when dialing the customer service number (110)?
if so how could this be solved? :(

Hi there Suzaku,

I DO HAVE THIS PROBLEM JUST LIKE YOU :(

This "Emergency Call" problem is not the problem of the build.
It's Android's.

If your device is rooted, you may have access to the following path:
/system/build.prop
Open this file via text editor and you'll be able to find the following value:
ro.ril.oem.nosim.ecclist=911,112,999,000,08,118,120,122,110,119,995

To solve the problem, here're three alternatives:

  1. as you can see, number 110 is included as an emergency number !!!
You should edit this value by deleting 110 from the list and restart your device.

    IMPORTANT:
THIS MAY CAUSE YOUR BUILD TO BE DAMAGED.
BE CAREFUL AND MAKE A NANDROID BEFORE YOU EDIT THE BUILD.PROP FILE.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT YOU MAY ENCOUNTER IF YOU DO NOT BACK UP FIRST.

  2. Before installing the build,
Unzip it, edit the build.prop, re-zip it and then install it.
  3. Don't bother and use this number for customer support :D
    0123202110

By the way, and from personal experience, none of above worked for me !!!
It's either the build.prop file did not change values after restart (in alternative no 1)
or the Android build failed to install after editing the build.prop on my computer. (alternative no 2)

So this is a cook responsibility. :D
I advice you not to be bothered by this minor issue, and ask the cook to edit this specific value when preparing the next build :D

Good luck :) and take care ;)

Sometimes Titanium Backup give false readings.
This depends on what ext type you used (ext2, ext3 or ext4).
I'd recommend you use ext4 and use the GParted from a bootable CD or flash-memoy.

Your reference is the internal memory which you can monitor from
Settings -> SD & Phone Storage
and monitor your phone's Internal Storage behavior towards installing new apps.

A technical query?
Why if you simply cut and pasted from the browser Rom any sentence in Arabic and to Sqtha on another page of the browser or Facebook shows the Arabic letters when copying already reflected

I got my HD2 last month, and I'm already eager to put Android on it.

After using Windows Mobile for over 5 years (Dell Axim X3 --> Dell Axim x51v --> Samsung i780 --> HTC HD2), it's time to say good bye and move on to Android :(

This will be my first NAND ROM.

Had to read loads of tutorials to understand what to do. Wish me luck :)

PS: It's great to see great efforts from the community. Thank you all.

Well, after a few joyful days, my HD2 is now running this ROM in its full glory :)

Needed some time to go around since I'm a new comer to Android from WM, and to absorb the technical shock :D

I have two questions:
- I noticed the ROM misses the Offic application (Quickoffice I guess) and the HTC Reader that comes originally with the Desire HD, how can I get those two apps?
- An Android noob Q: what is the most common way to backup/restore my info? From reading, everybody is talking about the backup through CWM (Nandroid), but it will backup everything and I am interested in backing up Contacts and SMS only. Any ideas?

Again, thanks to Qaliza and everyone for their great tips.

Possible fix for FC at startup

Thinik I have FIXED the FC on startup issue!

I am currently using the CLK 150/44mb layout. Tried on MAGLDR and after the initial setup if I shut down the phone every time I started back up I got system has FC error and the phone would hang.

Steps I took to fix the issue are:

Installed ROM and configured on first boot.
Shut down phone and started back up again. Got FC and phone froze.
Went into CWM and ran fix permissions
Started phone back up and got FC
Pulled battery and started phone again

Since then I have done a numebr of power off and back on again tests and it is working fine.

I really love this rom as on CLK if feels like a proper android rom and I dont even have robot voice with this one.

Try this trick and let me know if it works for you! I am on a EU 512mb 1gb partition 0mb swap 2.15 radio.

Ok, CLK and everything working ok. Rom is the fastest and smoothest DHD for me but uot Kitchen doesn't work at all. I use framework-res.apk from sd-ext\sys-parts\framework\. Check script for Data++ Roms in Kitchen, wipe cache and dalvik cache before flash and even after manually mount /system and /data from recovery menu flashing doesn't change anything
Any chance to working kitchen? Maybe i do something wrong?

Qaliza's Desire HD cLK v1.2 Ready. Check OP :)

Ok, Im uploading it now at 12 KB/s (5hrs remaining) so I'll just leave it over night and should be ready by tomorrow :D

I reverted back to Rafpigna 1.9 kernel for the cLK version with ppp for data connection. (most of the issues where kernel related)

Im sorry I could not add Chinese language as it causes a lot of FCs (probably cause the build is based on the arabic version of Desire HD and there might be some conflicts)

Everything is working as it should

Battery life with Rafpigna's kernel is much better

I'm only gonna be releasing a complete build no updates (to prevent any errors) :)

Good night and see you tomorrow :)

I have a problem. After running CustomRUU.exe as mentioned in your installation manual it should say "fastboot: processing commands".
Unfortunately it doesn't say that. It ends with:
      "fastboot_init()
      udc_start()
      -- suspend --
      -- reset --
      -- portchange --
      -- reset --
      -- portchange --"

      Sometimes this is followed by:
      "STALL GET_DESCRIPTOR 128 6 1536 0 10"

My problem is that my phone can't connect to my pc anymore, so I can't continue with the next step. What have I done wrong? And (how) is it possible to fix this?
