after several days of testing I will revert back to fxp kernel because this one is not stable enough i found my phone showing the sim card pin prompt several times now, when I took it out of my pocket, so it must have crashed meanwhile. the camera also crashes occasionally.

Tried version 2 and 3 but always having boot logo and nothing else! I used Mikes ROm and Liquid Smooth Rom and nothing happend more that 5 times in a ROM ! Same with new kernel 3.4 to me

I have been testing SJB4 for 10 hours and i can say very good ROM! Using 3.4 kenel and 3.0.8
With 3.4 kernel Bt is not working and FmRadio too also no notification LED + not working LED when speaking on the phone
With 3.0.8 kernel everythin is good:
+ Very Smooth Rom
+ Camera working fine and video recording (480pi) working also good
+ Bt working and wifi
+ LED notification working
- Too many random reboots
- The sound quality is too BAD and quite (sound drives on 4.1 very poor)
Anyway this is very good ROM but i CANT use it because i have more than 8 reboots on 10 hours!

EDIT: wifi hotspot isn't working, my laptop connects to the phone but with no internet access. The yellow sign appears on top of the wifi sign.

Well guys, after using the kernel for around two weeks or more, here is my final verdict:

I'm switching back to the 2.6.x kernel.

In my opinion, the 3.0.8 kernel is the BEST performing kernel I've ever used. The performance it offers for Jelly Bean is leagues away from the original 2.x kernel but a lot of major issues plague it from being a daily driver.

The random re-boots become an annoyance but what makes matters worse is that sometimes when the phone switches off to re-boot, it just stays switched off. This is highly inconvenient especially when you need to make an urgent call.

The overheating issue is another pain for daily use. I cannot make a phone call for longer than 3 minutes without either burning my ear or making the phone switch off automatically. Once the phone becomes hot and if you tend to use it after that, you will never know when it might switch off again and then it takes a long time to cool off even if you take out the battery and all.

These are the only two issues that plague me but these are very major issues that outweigh the benefits that this kernel offers.

nAa, if you can fix these two issues, I can give you full guarantee that no one will use any other kernel for the Pro, ever. But the present scenario is not that way and hence, I have to revert back to the 2.6.x kernel.

The thing is, my phone doesn't boot with stock or other custom kernels, why I thought it's softbricked.
Then I came across your kernel, which is booting fine, but screen is flickering and the touchscreen is not working.
I assume my touchscreen is bricked, that's why other kernels don't boot.

My questions are:

1, are you aware of any checks in the kernel ( maybe during device initialization ) which causes stock and other kernels to do not boot?
2, do you know why is the screen flickering?

This flickering is caused by aligned frame buffer.
/sys/module/msm_fb/parameters/align_buffer to change it.

0 disables it
1 enables it

Make an init.d script that changes it.

(Normally in ICS must be disabled)

I like it, the color is not over-saturated anymore and i can finally set the clock to greater than 1 Ghz. Testing more, and i will report here if there is a bug or problem

Yes, can confirm this kernel is working on CM10 Nightly for over 3 months, fast, smooth and perfect
I even get 4 days out of the battery with my simple tweaks

Yep the radio does not work on this kernel - there were issues ever since CM9
FM Radio only works on certain kernels - I have no idea which ones

I removed the FM files and have a whoooping 167000KB of extra free RAM (0.15MB)

Try clearing the all the DATA cache for the camera app

was this an upgrade from an previous version of miui, if yes did you clear the partition cache and dalvik cache?

no change here, after clearing the cache and dalvik cache rom stop working, after boot i get lots of errors like, com.android.phone, muiu framework, process.acore and many more, just stop working.

i'm flashing fusion 5.5 kernel, fresh install the rom, then flash other kernels without wiping cache, otherwise i get errors.
