Well I've had the same issue for the last 3 days. Arrived on holiday it started updating n my other half unplugged the usb c to 3.5mm official HTC jack from the phone accidentaly has hasnt worked since... I've tried re-installing the fw and nothing, no reaction from the phone when plugging in with or without the fw. Have not rooted it or done anything to the phone its all standard...

I'm at a complete loss, not to mention not hearing back from HTC for ****...

Accidentally i stepped on my audio jack adapter, so it does not work anymore. I ordered a pair of audio jack adapter from htc.com and surprise, they dont work. I called htc they said the adapters supposed to work so their solution is to replace them.

I sat on mine while on the lawn tractor; these things are pretty fragile. Ordered two more and they work fine. Just need to be extra careful.

I used my Sennheiser 558's and after 5 minutes, it got really loud for a second and then I heard a pop, stopping the audio. Then it went to a low buzz and that's all it ever output again. No audio comes through and it heats up really quick, getting to "left in the 90 F sun on a black dashboard" levels of hot in around a minute or so. So now I can't use any headphones with it. Cherry on top of the cake, I'm returning the device. Good phone though, just a lil too expensive...

I am having the same problems here with my U11. The USonic headphones work fine, the HTC adapters however are not detected on my phone. A few months ago I even bought new ones to rule out that it was a faulty adapter. After a support chat with customer service, the recommendation was to factory reset my phone (What a surprise!) and it did nothing. Currently waiting for an email reply from them but I don't have much hope.
The app "Audio jack Adapter Toolkit" on google play has dozens and dozens of reviews of people with the same problem. Hopefully they address this problem but I really doubt it. :(

I've just had an update to my adapter and it is now working for the first time since I bought my phone. You may all want to try plugging it in again and updating it.

U11 3.5mm adapter and Screen protector

Well, I am facing this problem at the moment and I wonder about how can I uninstall Jack Adapter app because I looked it via app manager and there is not any options about uninstalling if u help me I would be very happy and thankful.
I had the exact same problem using the adapter that came with my U11 (HTC official adapter) It took me a month before I decided to use my headphones on my U11 and decided to plug them in on a 9 hour train ride across Europe...... 2 hours of which i spent trying to fix the issue :/

As with everyone else, the Firmware update didn't automatically trigger and I couldn't figure out how to uninstall the update after downloading it from Google Play. I ended up getting it working with info from downloadsource.net {article 11951}. By disabling my third-party launcher and using HTC sense until the update finally triggered/installed and worked.

For such a monumental failure HTC doesn't seem to care to much about the issue...

On another note, does anyone have any suggestions for a good (lasting) screen protector for the U11? I've tried 3 different tempered glass versions and they all don't work well with the screens raised edge. I was looking at these "HTC U11 LiQuid Shield Screen Protector" but they seem to have mixed reviews.

Any feedback would be much appreciated :)

Hi there

Would you please elaborate on this part:
By disabling my third-party launcher and using HTC sense until the update finally triggered/installed and worked.

I'm having the same problem, it worked for months and suddenly it stopped working. The firmware does not detect the physical adapter, while the adapter itself works with other HTC phone. Unable to uninstall or reinstall.

Is there any solution for this problem? Have same issue, cant get an update for the adapter. Allready try to uninstall an uprate for Audio Tollkit and then reinstall it, just doesnt work. Same for using HTC Sense.
