3.5mm Port Problems

So for a while I have been dealing with an annoying issue with my AT&T G3's audio port. When I use any kind of 3.5mm, be for headphones, stereos, etc, if the jack moves just a little bit my G3 freaks out. Most of the time I get the annoying message, "You need to unlock your phone to use Google Voice Search!", blaring into my headphones. Other times the phone pauses my music, or skips my track, or turns the volume up or down; pretty much what headphones with the controls on wire do. This issue is really annoying and is starting to piss me off because I can't listen to music when walking, or even with it just in my pocket. I think it has something do with the plating in the port itself as I have tried multiply headphone jacks in it. Does anyone know of any ways on fixing this problem, or should I just use my warranty and wait the 7-10 days without my phone?

RE: Audio problems

Send it to your carrier/LG for repair, but state that is a known problem, feeling free to quote XDA about it :D - make sure you are stock not rooted before you send it off, they don't like that stuff :p Had 2 G3's fixed within 48 hours for free doing this, works fine now :)

Yes i have no posts btw, lost my older login details -.-

I know it's an old post but it happened to me too and had my phone repaired just like you. It worked fine so far but lately my headphones jack pops out at the slightest move/turn. It doesn't go crazy as before, just stops the music as if you disconnect them on purpouse. Anyone else who repaired his phone has this problem too? Are you planning on sending it again or have you sent it already? If so, did they fix it? Thanks!
