Was using NexusHD2 3.1a (2.3.6) for some long time. Was curios to try ICS.

Formated a new SD for this.

Hangs at Android logo, flashed Nexus 3.2 (2.3.7) after, everything is ok  Any tips ? Suggestions |?

Did you repartition? I had the same issue until I completed this step.

I'm having issues with flash video playback.

It's choppy, it'll stutter every two seconds and then skip two seconds of video.

Settings -> Data Usage -> Turn Mobile Data OFF -> Stays off for a few minutes but when you re-visit the Settings page it goes back to being ON. There's no way to disable it I've tried everything. I got charged $150 from my network provider because my phone was using data to update itself for months I didn't know it turned itself ON after turning I specifically turned it OFF.

Thanks for this great Rom. but i have couple of problems

1. to save my data plan i switch off 3G often. but in this ROM after 1 or 2 times the 3G don't turn on again and i have to reboot.

2. I couldn't find the option to turn of vibration during typing texts. ( i tried sounds> vib on touch but it didn't work out)

Overall its a stable ROM. just waiting for Flash and videos to work :)

Hi
i want to install this ROM,but first I have some questions:
1-how much ram does this ROM consume?
2-Does it have "black screen" problem or hanging problems?or some glitches?
3-Does it have Voice Echo Problems?
4-What advantages and Disadvantages does it have versus Successful Android 2.3.5 Builds?

No ICS ROM so far has managed to be as stable and fast as Gingerbread yet. Also, bear in mind that this ROM isn't being developed anymore and tytung's CM build will be overall a better experience, although I'd far rather have an AOSP ROM if both were equal.

Yeah, I forgot to answer those :p

To be honest, I'm not sure on how much RAM the ROM consumes. It must be less than the resource hungry Sense 3.x builds, for sure, but I'm not sure in total. It's probably fairly low.

I don't recall having any problems with black screens or the phone hanging, but it has been a while since I used the ROM so I might have just forgotten about them.

Same with the voice echo - I don't remember it being there, but I haven't used the ROM in a while and also I don't actually make phone calls with my phone all that often so I may not even have made any calls whilst I had it. Actually, as I'm typing this I do remember having a minor voice echo issue with one ROM that I used, but in the past months I've tested a lot of ROMs, so I really can't tell you if it was this one or not. :(

Finally, advantages and disadvantages:

The advantages basically are just that it's running ICS. I'm sure somewhere you can find a list of reasons why ICS is better than Gingerbread but overall it feels better thought through and it definitely looks really nice too.

As for disadvantages, (comparing this in my head to NexusHD2-Gingerbread, but I'm sure it's a similar comparison with other 2.3 ROMs) it's a bit slower, less stable and there are some features that don't entirely work, such as the camera being a bit flaky still. Basically, if you want the cutting edge for your phone then this ROM is good, but if you'd rather have something that's stable and works a bit better in general then grab a Gingerbread ROM (or stay with a Gingerbread ROM if that's what you have at the moment). I think the battery life was about the same in ICS. After all, the kernel I'm using works for ICS builds too so there's probably not too much difference between them.

Flashing to Android

I bought a second hand HD2 only to get Android ICS on it. Now I know that I need to have hSPL 2.08 and I think another radio firmware than the original to support 576 MB RAM. Would it be alright to install newer versions like hSPL 3 instead of 2.08 or I need to be exactly at those versions for everything to work?

Also, I kinda need a step by step guide to tell me how to delete everything and get ICS running, I mean from updating the hSPL to ICS... Anybody can help?

Thanks in advance.

Now that you've installed HSPL the next step would be to download the HD2 NAND Toolkit and Task 29 your phone, which will get rid of everything on it. Then you can proceed to install the radio (I'd try the one in my signature first), the bootloader (advantages/disadvantages of cLK and MAGLDR are in the linked thread), CWM Recovery and then you will be able to install the ROM from there.

NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich is a HD2 ROM built from the modified AOSP ICS source code from the Evervolv team since beta 9.
    • Include Android 4.0.3.
    • Include tytung's 2.6.32.15 ICS kernel beta 8.
    • Include tytung's ICS ramdisk (initrd.gz).
    • Include the required proprietary binaries files and the HD2-specific files (they are not in AOSP ICS) from my AOSP GB ROM (i.e. NexusHD2-Gingerbread).
    • Credits: tytung, texasice, ankuch, rapmv78, the CM and Evervolv teams, etc.

    Installations:
    • Please use at least 190MB system partition and at least 2MB cache partition.
      • Please refer to ksubedi's HD2 NAND Toolkit and/or mskip's guide.
      • Cache partition (/dev/block/mtdblock4) is only used by CWM.
      • Cache partition size is not important because the data partition (/dev/block/mtdblock5) is used as the cache space when running Android.
      • If your HD2 has bad NAND blocks, you may need larger partitions.
    • Wipe
      • Wipe Data/Factory Reset while doing a fresh install.
      • Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache while upgrading and wanting to retain data.
    • Flash the ROM.
      • MAGLDR: Flash NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich_Beta10.zip, then reboot.
