flashed watchdog but shutdown screen remained the same.
startup screen did change put it plays until it starts to zoom in to the city, then restarts the animation. is there any way to let it play completely?

No way to make it till the end.
Boot time for phone is 15 secondes. So i made the bootanim to match that time.

I installed watch dogs on my n935f, boot sound work but animation is stock (the animation of TekHD Rom...)
I've read that some roms has a different way to read bootanimations, is that this case maybe? How can I revert to standard one to make the zip work? Thanks a lot!

Edit: found it! Search button is very useful Reverted from zip to qmg! But now there is no sound... Will investigate...

The sound file is already in /ui with correct permissions but it doesn't play... Anyway it's not a big problem, I don't reboot my phone every 5 minutes to see and listen bootanimation

How to install the bootanimation

I'm not able to install the boot animation, I replace both bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg files in it's respective folder (/system/media) but when I reboot I just see the same animation that came with the rom.

I'm using the TEKXnesis HYBRID URv10+ rom Seems the BA is being controlled by a file called bootanimation.zip which contains some folders with png files and the desc.txt file. Is there anything I'm doing wrong or I'm just missing the appropiate files to change the boot animation?

Edit: Found this response on the rom's thread, I leave it here for anyone who may need it (Maybe it can be added in the OP since a lot of people uses that rom):

Using root explorer... go to -> system/bin

there you will see a file called bootanimation and another bootanimation.off

simply rename the bootanimation to bootanimation.off2 and rename the bootanimation.off to bootannimation

reboot and voila...

This changes the method the phone executes boot animations from the bootanimation.zip method to the Samsung's .qmg files system.
