guys, can you please share a link for the latest twrp (supporting oreo without the need for data fix). I found a link, but the .img file for some reason seems either corrupted or I am doing something seriously wrong.

The problem are the different architectures of the used processors. Different architectures, different gpu's, different implementation of the 4G or LTE module...
Samsung also cannot make one rom for these two types. This rom here is only for the Exynos 8895. But the snapdragon 835 was also sold in US. Maybe you find something on their threads?

I've found the new TWRP for OREO from Kairi_Zeroblade and it works well.
Could upgrade to Magisk 16.3 without any data encryption probs in TWRP.

Alright I know impossible port exnos firm to snapdragon . I am saying May Ketan do same customizations to our roms and make a Ketan snapdragon version.US variant impossible but china variants fully unlocked easy to install custom rom same as other snapdragon phone.

I dont wonder, if such a rom would be ready in the next time. Dr. Ketan ist very fast.
I've read about these locked bootloaders of the US variants. Its creepy.

Actually it's time consuming for making separate for just couple of users. Also once make rom then expectations growing for update and etc..
Anyway give me link to stock rom, God know in some good mood may plan to make it, but don't take this as promise.

Kind of a weird thing I have noticed. Running O4, but I believe this happened on O3 and O2. Stock kernel. Overnight, the phone sits and sometimes, not always, the wifi shuts off completely. I turn on the wifi via notification button and it turns right back on. It does not do it every night.

I looked at advanced wifi options and everything appears to be configured properly. Is this some Oreo feature? Battery saving perhaps?

I had the same problem.
Install a newer bootloader with Odin.
I use the BR8 bootloader and everything works fine with copy and paste.

Base is the same. At a glance, i see no new features around.

The inly thing is, i did magisk update check off, but it happens that magisk will install a new version,that is already installed.
Looks like,it lost his update folder or something.

Yes I recommend O4 as it is completely rebuilt version.
Magisk version mess is because of data fix applied, now new TWRP available that doesn't require fix. So while flashing O4 don't select it. O4 already have magisk latest included

What is your installed bootloader and modem version? Install Samsung Phone info from store and check it if you don't know.
