what he mean is the recovery layout for magldr. The place where your rom gets installed. For LATEST android builds flashed via cwm its recommend to use 220mb what you should do. AND instead of selecting 5 (USB Flasher) choose 8 (load into recovery) and install your rom via .zip file (which you can download at roms thread. Just copy the zip to root of your sd and choose 'install from .zip' in CWM). DFT flasher isnt used anymore since months.

Latest android builds are Gingerbread (2.3.7, very stable) and Icecream Sandwich (4.0.3, its still in some kind if beta but very useable yet) For GB and ICS based roms are also lots of different distributions (MIUI, CM7, CM9(still in progress)) from different developers.

So pls.. do not use a 2years old rom ;P

Edit: and your radio is way too old. Check my sig. There is the latest radio. Flash this first.

this is the first nand rom and the only one worth trying...
over the past few days i have tried about 6 different roms by dungphp, carl1961, sergio76 among others and i keep coming back to this rom.
while it may not be flashy it just plain works guess is another year of STOCK DESIRE ROM for me....

i would love to maybe tweak the kernel if any one has any ideas on that i would love to try them

much respect to the developers i have mentioned your work is greatly appreciated

"Spl 2.08" would mean 2.08.0000 which is not hspl, which is why saying "I have spl2.08" is a useless thing to say. This habit of putting the letters before the numbers has caused more confusion than anything else.

Is it 2.08.0000 or 2.08.hspl? MASSIVE difference,,,, one is hspl one isn't.

open your hd2 in magldr and choose usb flasher, connect to pc and select whith left button and execute DAF .

Detailed guide

1. download MAGLDR 1.13
2. download NAND Android ROM
3. Install MAGLDR to your LEO (ROMUpdateUtility.exe)
4. Boot LEO and select in the menu "4. USB Flasher"
5. Run DAF.exe on your computer. Do all steps.
6. Wait while it's flashing.
7. After flashing device will make auto-reset.
8. It should boot directly to Android.

I might be wrong, i haven't installed this to test, but where in philliped346's detailed instructions, or in the OP, does it say to install recovery? This rom was made before a recovery was available, that is why you have to flash it using daf.exe from your pc.

This Rom doesnt work/flash/install the same as any of the other hd2 roms, it is a proof of concept Rom from before cwm was available for the hd2. The install instructions should be in the first posts.
My advice would be to pick any other Rom and follow the standard instructions .

    LEO "Stock" NAND Android ROM

DFT proudly presents first android NAND ROM for HTC HD2 (HTC LEO).

Supports all LEO types (LEO512 and LEO1024)

Please read these instructions carefully before installing!

    Description

The goal of this ROM to make the closest copy of HTC Desire stock ROM.
It has not any "fresh" ideas, but rather stable.
Desire camera replaced via EVO, super user and busybox was added.
This ROM can be used as base how to make any NAND ROM flashed via DAF.

    Installation

You need MAGLDR version 1.09 or higher installed on your device to proceed with the installation.
If MAGLDR is not present, please flash it before proceeding, otherwise Android installation will fail
To downgrade to a Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM, simply flash an official ROM using RUU.

    Detailed guide

    1. download MAGLDR 1.10
    2. download NAND Android ROM
    3. Install MAGLDR to your LEO (ROMUpdateUtility.exe)
    4. Boot LEO and select in the menu "4. USB Flasher"
    5. Run DAF.exe on your computer. Do all steps.
    6. Wait while it's flashing.
    7. After flashing device will make auto-reset.
    8. It should boot directly to Android.
    9. If any errors happens, please report in this thread.

    Uninstallation

It is possible to downgrade to original Windows Mobile 6.5, by just flashing to an Official ROM.
Both MAGLDR and Android will be removed

    Warranty Issues

Be warned, Installing MAGLDR and Android may void your warranty.
If you need to send your device to a Repair Centre, make sure that you uninstall HSPL!

Problem: On some devices MAGLDR won't boot at all (HTC logo stay after turn on).
    Solution: Install HSPL208.

Problem: Device stops on GO GO GO!
Solution: Not found yet, root case not detected. Sometimes flashing other official ROM helps...

    Space and Battery Issues

I have picked up lots of bits of information about how to maximize space issues and maximize battery life for those of us who are in love with these amazing new NAND builds....especially those of us with European HD2 phones who only have 512MB to play with :)

I have compiled them below for ease of reference - I claim no originiality for these ideas...I am just bringing them together...so MAJOR THANKS TO ALL THOSE OUT THERE! :D You know who you are...

I have posted it on this thread as I love this particular build, but they should (might!) work for other builds.

    Space

    1. Before flashing your phone, you can edit the flash.cfg file and change the following line:

    cache ya 40M >>to>> cache ya 15M

This reduces the cache by 25M with no discernible impact on the speed of the build (imo).

This should give you in excess of 130MB free after a clean flash. Expect that to drop to around 100MB once Market, Flash and a couple of other apps update themselves.

    2. Immediate install Z4 to root your device. You will need to get it from here.

Put it on your SD card and then install a file manager from the Market to browse to it and then install and run. Follow the details on the thread... (Note: it may get stuck on 'Rebooting'. Wait a minute or so and then manually reboot - it will work fine and SuperUser will now work after the reboot)

    3. Install Move2SD. You can get it from the Market. Full details are here.

This allows you to move most (not quite all) apps to SD. It is the best option I have found to move most of those awkward apps.

I have now installed pretty much all of my apps that I used to run on non-NAND builds and have moved about 90%+ of them to the SD card. At time of writing I have loads of apps installed and still have over 70MB free :)

    Battery

    1. Install Battery Monitor Widget or Current Widget from the Market so that you have a way of tracking your current usage.

    2. Install Set CPU - free for XDA members from here, but also available on the Market.

After setting your Main Screen to 'OnDemand' and 'Set on Boot', assign SetCPU a couple of profiles. I tend to use:

    >> Screen Off: Max/Min 245000, Scaling 'OnDemand', Priority 50%
    >> Battery <25% Max 384000/Min 245000, Scaling 'OnDemand', Priority 50%

You can play to your hearts content here, but these give me consistently 7ma in Standby.

Also, you can reduced the sampling rate to 20000 and 'Set on Boot' in Advanced if you like.

    3. Avoid power hungry background stuff like animated wallpapers and turn off GPS, Wireless etc. There are LOADS of apps out there that can do this automatically for you free from the market, but I have found that making sure my GPS is off (I have a widget to show me) plus SetCPU is plenty. It may work for you though.

    4. Some have reported that Darkstone's suggestion makes a major difference to their power consumption:

"To fix high power drain / usage in standby (60mA or 70mA) disable 'Use wireless networks' in Settings>Location menu. You will now get 7mA or less constantly. I discovered this as the main culprit last night. Also works in other builds."

Anyway, there you go - a few consolidated thoughts - happy NANDing!

waited so long for this :) great work to all of DFT and a happy new year to you!
