I tried to flash this on my friends phone and now when the phone boots, an lg logo appears with a blue loading bar beneath it. The bar freezes, reboots and the process happens again. I hav no experience with LGs at all so im not sure what went wrong.

Its running stock froyo and the latest recovery available in Rom Manager
Any suggestions?

I flashed it and wiped dalvik cache but i still have the same problem
If i flashed a stock gb rom - rebooted- then flash the kernel, will that work?

It goes off when the task load drops:)
it suspends in notime and activates in no time. So when you check it it quickly activatesand when you observs w/o doing any activity it quickly suspends.
When you watch through system tuner pro click on system instead of cpu now wait for some seconnds than click on cpu and you'll find 2nd core off:)

But rc11r is so fast i already see both at 1.0ghz when i click the cpu tab, and they go back to 300mhz directly after :)

Also, I always believed Tegra2 is unable by hardware to scale frequencies on both cpu's independently from each other, e.g., one cpu at 300mhz and one at 600, does that also mean that also one cpu shouldn't be able to be disabled?

If it was, why would nVidia not have enabled it by default? That wouldn't make any sense, right?

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE:

NEW Revolutionary HP RC11-R is out: for more changelogs and download details reffer first page. It's with OC/UV eventhough I've modified cpufreq driver so that 2nd core cpufreq steppings move in slide with 1st core. Now you can see 2ns core activated in notime and with scaling same frequency alike first cpu. and when unneeded it suspends 2nd core in notime.
Perfect!!!!! :D

Hey Spica, great work. I have got an issue with rc11-r and PP9 - when i first installed the kernel and rebooted, the phone was pretty smooth. I OC to 1.4ghz and tried to swipe in the folders of Go Launcher EX - really smooth, never before happened, no lag(that was the only place where it was laggy). Then i installed PP9, and then reinstalled RC11-R and OC to 1.4GHZ and swiping between apps in folders, was not so smooth like without PP9.
And scrolling is the same on 1ghz and 1.4 ghz - before when i overclocked i can see the difference, but now no. If you can't think of something, then please tell me how to remove PP9. Thanks.

Thanks spica for the new kernel.
Installed RC11-R without PP9 and so far so good but the response of script manager and root explorer seems to be slower than before...oh..and one more things...the cache file seems to be EXT4,it's that normal?

Finally some usable kernel after SR2 :)
The phone really feels snappier and with less slowdowns. It shows very obviously in Market, it's never been so fast.

Thanks spica!

Welcome. Now with RC11-R , if you want to install PP then first install PP and then RC11-R.
Yes i should have named it SR3 during my initial testing because it was rock stable but my standard for SR releases are very high that's why we have only 2 SR versions till now:)
Actually I've worked very hard for RC11-R only 3 hours but mainly worked on stability ,2nd core performance w/o affecting battery and optimized PMU(Power Management Unit)
Now you can see real difference in dual-core in responsiveness and performance along with lowest standby battery consumption (~1-2 mA)
Actually in previous stock cpu drivers 2nd core was activating very late and 2nd core was forgetting its min and max freq thus failing to scaling in sync with 1st core and thus prematurely it was being off in realtime workload needs:) That's why i modified cpufreq driver so that 2nd core remembers its min and max freq independantly and sync when 1st cpu changes. It quickly sync with1st core during work-load and quickly suspends when task load drops. I've took special care that this behaviour improves battery life instead of drainage:)

Spica, I still didn't understand the stuff behind 48bits... why it works? Does it work like a post filter in frame buffer(just like Bravia does on TV's with their powerful xilinx cpu or on Xperia phones), but the the memory footprint should not increase, just cpu power is used I dunno how GPU is affected here tough if the rendering is done by it.

There is a definetly some sort of like FRC filter trick as used on modern cheap panels... ain't it?

So what does PP do in addition to RC11-R kernel?
Any advantages of using/not using PP?
Yes Kernel is a basic core package and PP works on RamDisk. It modifies ramdisk and tunes it for performance of hp kernel:)
Ramdisk+Kernel = Boot.img through which phone boots and operates:)

So PP should not be used together with Supercharger?
