well, i got about 30 minutes into the test, but i gotta bail, as there's still another hour or so left. i'll let it run tonight when i get home. looks good so far, though...

edit: i don't know if this makes a difference to y'all, but even without running the hw test, i can tell you that the one i've opened is working perfectly in my dinc. read/write is all good, and all 32gb shows up...

Thanks for taking the time. I'm not sure how they do it, but my understaning is they use a 4gb and somehow ghost over it to make it appear as a 32 or whatever. It even functions fine for a while. That test will show if it is a real 32 or ghost 32, just takes a while to run for sure. When done it will say likely good or likely fake, or whatever that is in german.

Seems to be a real big problem, as big as the fake 1500mah replacement batteries I got. They are maybe 600mah:mad: came from austintexwireless. Bad batteries, but fast refund:rolleyes:

Where are you looking?

Speed Class Rating
The Speed Class Rating is the official unit of speed measurement for SD Cards, defined by the SD Association. It is equal to 1 MB/s (8 Mbit/s), and it measures the minimum sustained write speeds for a fragmented state
The following are the ratings of some currently available cards:
Class 2: 2 MB/s
Class 4: 4 MB/s
Class 6: 6 MB/s
Class 10: 10 MB/s
eabruzzese quoted speeds in Mb/s, not MB/s. 2MB/s = 16Mb/s

The 32GB MicroSDHC Class 2 i got from Verizon... started off at 8 MB/s or so, then slowed down to about 4-5 MB/s in H2testw. It replaced a 16GB MicroSD HC Class 6 from AData, which got about 7-8 MB/s in H2testw. YMMV.

Sorry you been had. Throw the word counterfeit in your complaint. Paypal or ebay should have you covered. They are sneaky though right, everything looked legit until you tested it.

Your Kung-Fu is strong. I missed that detail. I need to look further into it. I'm still not sure class 2 is enough for TRUE 720P

Edit: Just got my card from vzw today, benchmarked with "sd card speed test" from the market and it is showing as a class 6. I know this really doesn't mean anything, as class is minimum write of a completely fragmented file, but I am happy.

yup. as a matter of fact, it's almost like it was the testing itself that broke it. either way, i opened a case, and the seller, sky.huchun, has offered me my money back. let's see how it plays out.

ultimately, thank god it was only $50!

It would have kept "looking" like a 32, but when the actually capacity was reached, it would start rewriting your data. You'd loss that valuable back up or photo...And the way feedback works on ebay I think is kinda broken.

okay, i've returned to mr. sky.huchun for a full refund. let's see if it happens. in the meantime, i pulled the trigger on the verizon deal, taking advantage of our corporate discount ($82 w/tax and free shipping).

thx to the op.

edit: you know, if you check compatibility, it says that this sd is not compatible with the incredible. i don't think that's true. anyone have anything to say about it?

I never looked lol Some spec sheets for Dinc said up to 16gb, but it is because 32 micro sdhc JUST NOW became available. 32GB works fine. At least a half dozen people in this thread have it with no issues(myself included)

I remember when I bought my first SD card. $75 for 256M!! Wow what a deal.

Thanks to all for their input on this topic. I ordered mine online yesterday, it didn't apply the additional corporate discount. I called, the rep said the corporate discount only applied to plans/devices not accessories. Bummer, but I'll still try again and see.

Update: I called the 1-800-922-0204 number and learned a couple things: My corporate discount didn't show up since I ordered from within my company's 'profile' for VZW. BUT, if ordering through your OWN myverizon profile, the credit/discounts are supposed to show up. I did not know that.

ALSO learned about what is called a Bill Incentive Credit - depending on what your company's arrangement is with VZW, certain of those plans with VZW offer a credit for handset upgrades. Long story short, she just gave me a $100 equipment upgrade credit that I didn't know I was eligible to receive! Yee-Haw! I asked if it made any difference whether I had the handset since 4/29, she said no, and she applied the credit immediately. BIG thumbs up (for a change) for VZW!

Thank you for posting this. I was looking for one of these on Amazon today but was glad to see VZW carries it now that way I can just charge to the account ....

You can get a name brand SanDisk 32 GB on Amazon for 85 and free shipping.

I tried the online with verizon and it did not apply my 25% off so I just went ahead and got one with amazon... I don't want to have to call verizon after to beg for my 25% off.
