I have no idea about these specific batteries but the general consensus is correct. If it costs 1/4 the price, you'll probably get what you pay for.

I have used the knockoff generic batteries back in the day in my Galaxy S2, purchased online and in the markets in HK. I never had any physical defects with them, but they were obviously deficient in capacity compared to the genuine Samsung battery only giving about 2/3 as good charge. The most entertaining fact was they all had the exact same serial number on them.. ;)

Typically, knockoff battery manufacturers do not install protection circuits and pressure valves in the battery packs, this is one method of cutting the costs. However this obviously can cause fires or explosions if overheated or overcharged.

But at $10 each compared to $50-60, well.. if you feel lucky why not?

Nothing could possiblye go wrong.

What about Caseology batteries, I bought two of them hope them work same as OEM :)

Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
I saw the Caseology batteries at Amazon but shied away when I read the Q&A

Q: Isn't the charging mechanism built into the phone, rather than the battery on this phone? So wouldn't the wireless charging work on this?
A:
While wireless charging may be compatible with some batteries, our batteries were not designed to support wireless charging. Not all batteries will support wireless charging.

Q: Does this battery support Qi wireless charging if you have the wireless charging back plate for the LG G3?
A:
The batteries do not support wireless charging.

In case no one else has actually owned this. I am using it in my phone right now and get better battery life for sure. Is it huge? No, it's all of 500 mah more, but it's noticeable. Yes it's definitely worth the 10 bucks you spend on ot (what I spent).

Um, I can sure, I'll have to remember to do that at the end of tomorrow. Granted I really don't use my phone a ton. It gets me through a day with 30+ % vs down to 12 on the stock (averages)

If it's the same size as the original battery it's 3000mAh at most and will not yield any longer battery life.

It's simply impossible/placebo. Probably the second option.

Um, says who? I actually own the battery and it's 3500 mah, plus how is it impossible? ZeroLemon makes extended batteries with the original form factor for other phones, so why can't this one be 3500? Plus the g3 even has NFC as an antenna on the back cover so there's no lack in function.

what the screen on time ?
Crud mate, I charged it last night before I saw this message. I can remember it being something in the neighborhood of 7 hours though.

Because the battery supplier of the original LG-one won't be some n00bs. If the original battery has 3000mAh of capacity, that's the maximum one will achieve in that form-factor. Period.

Yeah, like for the SGS4, where the battery cover will not fit/be a tight fit. So it's a bit bigger. Same form factor = same capacity. Unless some miracle engineers are at work at ZeroLemon. Which is not the case.

Lol. Let me guess... That was with maximum brightness, while navigating, uploading in the background using FTP and playing some music?

For starters. Because you say it can't be more that means that's true? Since when does lg spend months researching battery technology? I mean I'll give you the number to their dev team and you can ask them yourself. Also, who cares if I was power using. That is NOT what he asked. The OP asked if anyone owned the battery and if it got them more battery life. Not more power usage. More battery life. The ones for the note 3 by zero lemon fit same as my original battery and were in fact bigger capacity due to no NFC as well as better battery technology. Please don't tell me I'm wrong unless you have hard facts to back yourself up. I'm speaking from experience in that I've owned extended batteries and use one right now. It's no placebo it's cold fact that my battery lasts longer even though it's the same form factor. I like your ambition but I don't appreciate being told I can't be right when I can tell you I am. Remember, you're not an expert on everything so don't act like it. Don't think I'm saying you're dumb just that you're mistaken. I own the battery in question and the oem battery. As a battery life numbers fact I get longer battery life on a daily basis from the 3500 than I do from the 3000. No placebo, actual numbers.

If you actually think ZeroLemon has better engineers than for example Sony, Samsung, LG, HTC or any other main mobile/battery brand, be my guest.

Without sacrificing functions like NFC, without having a tighter fit and/or using thinner outer casings/materials the capacity will be the same, at best. Most aftermarket batteries have less capacity, in the same form factor.

Well that may be so, but in this case my battery lasts longer. There's no need to dispute info that isn't an opinion. If it's black it's black, my battery is better than stock hands down. Plus of you'd like me to run a test to see the true mah feel free to give me a link to such a test and I'll take it 10 times for you and post all the results. My only intention was to help the op by saying it works for me not to debate battery technology.

aftermarket battery CAN have higher capacity in the same EXTERNAL packaging dimentions. If they forgo the NFC chip, safety precautions from punctures (ie. using softpackage, thinner walls), different battery tech.

question really comes down to.. can you really buy a good aftermarket battery pack at less cost than LG? that's questionable. everyone's gotta make a profit.. and LG will have more buying power than a 3rd party phone battery maker.
