3G?????

How does the 3G work on the Captivate??
I put in my networks apn's (MMS and DATA) but it doesnt load a web page or send or recieve an MMS , the 3G icon shows up but doesnt show any activity and also if I delete the DATA apn the 3G icon keeps showing till I reboot the phone.

There is no setting in wireless and network setings to just have 2G on (it had it in the Nexus one).
A 3G toggle also doesnt make any difference.

Any ideas?

dont know. i never had to enter anything in, in order for it to work...it just worked out of the box

did you unlock it and move to another carrier?
The phone shipped with all the settings you need to use the ATT network (Data, and Voice).
Maybe restore the settings back to factory defaults to remove your modifications.

Its an unlocked phone and im using it on vodafone new zealand.
