This is the AOSP way, and it's the same for all CyanogenMod devices. Sorry, you'll have to get used to it ;)
Actually, he's right - galaxys2 and galaxynote were the odd ones out, /emmc is supposed to be internal and /sdcard external. codeworkx switched em' last week.

Doing the switch for Note was on my list of things to do for this week.

First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Galaxy Note, or coming from another ROM

Make sure you're NOT running a REPACKED ICS LEAK FROM i9220!
Flash back to stock Gingerbread *through ODIN*!
Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
Copy GApps and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
Boot into Recovery
Flash CM9 zip Flash GApps zip
DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET

(otherwise your calendar sync will not work)

Reboot Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!

I tried to install abyss 4.2 redpill while i was on LP5 kernel (liquid rom), i installed abyss on CW. I can confirm it doesnt boot stuck on Abyssnote loading. So i prefer flash GB first.

EDIT: After taking Battery out, i tried again and now it worked, you can flash abyss with CW and then USE Abyss to flash CM9 and gApps bros.

MOD Notice

Once again this thread has had to be cleaned, this is a development thread, if you have any general user questions then please use the provided discussion thread. It is clearly highlighted in the first post, so there can be no excuses. So if you have nothing directly to add to the development of this ROM, do not post here!

Notification drawer settings

Other than the known issues posted, I've come across one minor bug so far in Build #2; The Notification Drawer settings in System settings disappears at any LCD density other than 320. I have tested a range from 240 to 160 inclusive. Option reappears on returning to 320.

Otherwise, great job guys! So far seems stable, with great performance.

Hiya. I realise that - is bug reporting not considered development? I'm happy to post other findings in General if this is where developers look for further unreported glitches. The issue is tested and repeatable at 266 LCD density and below.

I'm sure you didn't followed the instructions written in Discussion thread.
They're not so much things I couldnt follow from flashing CM9 over CM9. Could be a problem of Cyanofree's switching internal and external SD, that's my idea.
But hardbrick through CWM? Or only black display, but i dont think so.

flash with odin...kernel lp5
Yeah, but dont know if bootloader/download-mode works, will try it now.

First, this is development thread, there is a discussion thread for a reason

Second, you can flash directly from build #2 without going back to Gingerbread..but if you're flashing from a ROM with the leaked Chinese ICS kernel then Odin Gingerbread first as stated in the OP of the discussion thread..

Installing this rom comming from imilka's CyanogenMod 9 v03 bricked my phone too. I also had no progression in cwm. After 15 mins i rebooted and the phone is
totally dead, not even download mode works. Screen is blank.

The installation instructions comming from another cm9 rom was pretty straight forward, so I wonder what it could be.

Gonna try a few things before I send it to service.
