where do I find the tw version of KT kernel?
I have kt sg4 3.4.59 tw intl 08/20/2013 g1f20593 and the app says it is not the right one and close.
Any idea?

works perfectly, seems like the phone is faster, running GE rom, 4.3. Though is it just me or has the boot time increased? i almost though it hung at the samsung logo. We'll see how fast it really is after a few days, for it might be just placebo

My device is running jamal2367's GE Finaly ROM with the latest ktoonsez kernel. I had one "stopped working" message when running the setup of the apk, but just restarted the app and everything worked. Looking forward to test this

Any KT kernel as long as it has the zram module will work .... SO yes in your case

After it shows 'you can now enjoy zram' i pressed the tick button and it shows loading... Then the app force close

I am on 4.3 PAC Nightlies with KT20130825..

My install procedure :
1.Flash KT, reboot
2.Flash your custom busybox, reboot
3.Install your app and run but FC
Tried rebooting, still FC but on 2nd run it sorta shows in notification but yet it auto close itself.

Where did i go wrong?

Not exactly sure what happened... All I know is that I rebooted my phone 2 times (was testing 3minit 3.3). And then I read your reply, so I load up the the zram app and this is shown.

Originally I set 1248mb with 90% swappiness.


Edit: Set size to 1248mb with 90% swappiness again. Clicked set now, on, set on boot. Restarted phone and now it shows 1600mb with 50% swappiness.
Something wrong with the app display, or the way the settings are stored?

Dont know why but this app is not working for me. It force closes as soon as i open it. I am on stock rom stock kernel. Just rooted my phone with cf auto root tool and using cofface cwm recovery for the busybox you provided. Plz guide me if i am missing something

You need to flash another kernel like KT kernel.....

Yep you need a kernel with zram compiled as a module KT kernel TW versions all S4 Variants is what it's designed for

I like the idea of this app, but I really don't see how it could increase speed unless multiple PHYSICAL disks were being used.

Basically, what this app does is that it creates a four disk RAID-0 for the virtual ZRAM disks, but if RAM throughput was the limiting factor to begin with, splitting the reads/writes into four is senseless, right?

And if CPU speed was the limiting factor in the default setup, then it would be equally senseless unless the phone only uses one core per read/write request. But that sounds kinda far fetched, no?

So, how does this app work its black magic? Is there something I've misunderstood? Please enlighten me!
