20130329 was perfect. Incredibly smooth and fast, it was a joy just to hold my Note and change screens.

Now I am on 20130403 since a few days, and still have the initial impression that it is a bit less responsive. Scrolling and screen changes are just not as addictively smooth as they were on 0329. A bit "ruckelig", as zhe Chermans say. Could it be this crossbreeder thing?

Of course totally subjective. It is still a great rom. But I wanted to post it, because I would prefer future developments based on whatever makes 0329 so wonderful.

Nothing to do with CrossBreeder. I think something is not quite right with 3-step gpu DVFS control, and there's nothing vet-note can do about it.

Thank You to the OP and her cowboys for such a great ROM for the following :

1. Latest 4.2.2 JB
2. Very Fast and Smooth
3. Excellent Battery Life , No wakelocks
4. Great Theme and modding
5. Mixture of CM+AOKP

I tried 4 ROM's at the same time - Stunner 2 , Avatar , Revolt and this Vetnote. I ust admit that Stunner 2 is a little bit faster than Vetnote , but I settled with this one due to Themed GUI. I am a great fan of AOKP. But I am not so fond of PA. Therefore I would like to request to port full AOKP feature set into this ROM and provide PA Density app separtely as an option.

Also , I would like to know , how to revert to Normal DPI of settings menu , as it is in Tablet mode by default.

1. The recovery is very old and buggy , couldn't mount USB in my PC in recovery mode. Consider updating to better recovery.

2. The MTP is very very slow. It takes ages to copy files. Very irritating.

3. While copying big files from PC to Sdcard , phone crashes and shuts down every time.I have to remove battery and then reinsert and restart.

4. The phone overheats to dangerous levels in just 10 minutes while playing NFS Most wanted and Asphalt 7.

If there are solutions to these , kindly help. Thanks.

I think mad cow is based on cm10.1 and has everything stock like except for the theming ...so I haven't been having any problems as you mentioned ,with mtp and the phone shutting down and stuff ...nothing can be done about over heating ..those are graphic intensive games but it doesn't heat up too much on my note
Maybe try a full and clean install ...might help out

To get Nav Bar you need to add this qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 in build.prop file located in system folder using root explorer. For more see this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39834801&postcount=77

Tablet mode currently not possible. Milday (@Vet-note) is trying new things and probably would get in future builds.

Answer this is like looking into a crystal ball....

What message do you get?
in which situation?
How did you flash?
Did you change kernel?

You could try to flash supersu via CWM. Search for supersu.zip. you will find it.
Or try to flash actual Philz-Kernel. Attention! do NOT reboot. Flash newest CM10.1 kernel immediately after that and reboob then.

If nothing helps, start with a clean install from scratch...

Or flash Stock-Rom via Odin and stay on it. :silly:
