That actually makes a lot of sense. Later, I will reflash and I'll switch those steps and if that does not work, I will omit the gapps step.
I just flashed this over the PACman ROM and besides the cam issue, all is well!!! The Keyboards trail is at its normal dpi(I tried one from a different thread and it was thinner than the one from CM10.1, which is the same as the one in this package

it sounds like a setting could be zipaling apks. I could be wrong to. I still haven't fully woke up.
question... have you ran a root tool app with a set at boot scrpt enabling function to zipalign apks on reboot? cuz that would force your system into rebuilding the dalvik every boot. but im not 100 percent sure if the optimizing apps message is the same thing is the android is upgrading message..... but anyway... personally i would boot into recovery... wipe dalvik .... fix permissions... and reboot at least twice to see if that takes care of it before i restore a backup i made prior to flashing this package.... or if u didnt nandroid backup prior to installl... my next step would be dirty flashing my ROM without a data wipe and rechecking with a reboot. and if all else fails... tibu your user apps and data.... reformat (wipe system, data, caches)... flash your rom and restore apps.
Wiping dalvik wouldn't help. I don't think. When the caches are wiped you get the android is upgrading. It looks like the is a script or program clearing the caches on reboot. Check your apps, like a system tuner app. Look it system/bin see if there is a script clearing caches. What from are u running. thats what i would do...... but if you wanna wait for someone else with more knowlege on it to advise... then have a good weekend n sorry i couldnt help.
