4.2 Apps for Galaxy S3

I'm confused on how to install this. Do I do it in recovery or what? If so should I wipe data, cache, and dalvick? I'm on CM10 November stable.

Reboot in recovery and flash the zip. Then wipe cache and dalvick. Reboot and you are good to go.

Photosphere seams to be a little rough on my battery but these are great. Especially the keyboard.

I'm running the rooted stock jelly bean.
I haven't downloaded any apps that could be affecting the things you guys suggested

It says there is an update for gmail but I get this error when I try to update.

It says the most recent version is 4.2.1 and I am on 4.2-478. Any way to fix this?

I'm also having the camera problem. Is there a fix for that yet? Or am I either stuck with it or revert back to the old camera?

Just make sure it is focused before snapping the picture. Other than that it works fine for me.

Running stock Jellybean 4.1.1 pre-rooted

Calendar, Clock, Camera, and Gallery have duplicates - each launches the original / 4.2 version of the app - not a problem as I get to see the diffs!

Chrome - didn't work - had a critical error about missing required components - not an issue - uninstalled with Titanium Backup
Stock browser still works just fine - didn't really need/want Chrome on this anyway

Otherwise - very cool - apps do work/update on Google Play

don't know if anyone mentioned it earlier but if you delete your stock samsung gallery and replace it with the one provided here you lose the ability to set your lock screen wallpaper based off of images in your gallery. because of this, im sticking to stock

EDIT: google's camera, while looking slick as hell, has no option to turn off sound. If there is a mod floating around somewhere then disregard this. Tried out photosphere, was turning out great as I was shooting but when it rendered into the final image I only got the ceiling. Last thing and it infuriates me, google's camera is slightly zoomed in compared to samsung' stock camera.

Edit2: k so the camera is slightly zoomed in when taking a picture but when viewing it you see the full image. Also it has no option to store pics on the sdcard

OK I am not responsible for your phones you flash this at your own risk. These apps are for stock rom have not tested on any other rom .You have to be rooted. Wipe cache both of them and install. These apps work 100% on my S3 so they should for everyone els. Enjoy

Why such a big difference between the filesize of both these zips? The mirror is about 12 MB larger...

the ones here are just apps that are ported to work with 4.1. the Gapps that you need to flash on every 4.x aosp rom that are meant for 4.2 wont work on 4.1 due to framework issues... but the ones here you can flash in any rom since they are just the keyboard, gallery, camera, and calculator apps.

Working perfect on freS3 as far as I can tell. Wiped both caches before and after flashing the zip.
