I fail to see how this article reveals anything about the Xoom receiving 4.2. If anything it supports it - the only 10 inch tablet with 4.2 hasn't been touched by the public yet, and when it is it will still be then only one. There is little doubt that Samsung, Asus and others will start working on updates for their large tablets to 4.2 and getting them out over the next several months. It would be in Googarola's best interest to push it to the Xoom so there are 2 representative examples of the new large screen UI on the street for others to follow. I was surprised to see the Xoom at Office Max last week on "clearance" at $445. There is certainly not a fire sale happening with the Xoom tablets, so there is still relevance to the device.reading this adds some doubt that we receive it. Not sure they want to completely throw our UI out and replace with the phablet one. Would current owners like? not like?

What this article did do was explain very clearly Google's logic behind the UI change. It makes sense, and when I saw the first posted screenshots in another thread, I immediately liked it for all of Google's reasons (though I couldn't explain it in their terms at the time).
