Hello.
I have flashed [ROM][4.3]N7100XXUEMK9 DeOdexed & Zipaligned without Knox, then rooted by MultiTool_v6 by dr.ketan. Everything worked fine. I used your bootloader, checked triangle away, reseted binary counter and everything worked aswell. But i have one question. I have SELinux status Enforcing SEPF_GT-N7100_4.3_0010, but on screenshot it's SEPF_GT-N7100_4.3_0016. What is this responsible for and does it mean something? Thank all of you for explanation :)
I have _00010 too.

that means the rom you guys flashed contains a different kernel version than my package. This is not a problem if your device is working fine;)
I will update the first page with the info you guys provided , but currently im finishing another project. Many thanks guys:good:

Set status as permissive and you are good to go. Easiest way is with a playstore app. SE Linux mode changer

@faria

If your download link for MJ5 bootloader (only) is still active, please PM it to me.
I'm already long ago on KK, but still on ME6 bootloader (4.1.2)

Some day it will be outdated, I will gladly flash yours then :D

Thanks so much for your time invested in this and sharing with us.

How to set SELinux from enforcing to permissive.

YOUR DEVICE MUST BE ROOTED

First you need SuperSU from chainfire, xposed framework and wanam exposed module.

Download the xposed framework and follow the instructions on how to install it, then install the wanam xposed module and activate it within the xposed framework.
Open SuperSU, go to settings, tick enable SU during boot and tick trust system user.
Open the wanam xposed module and press the security hacks tab and then tick disable SEAndroid box.
Reboot your device.
Your SElinux will now be set to permissive.

http://selinuxproject.org/page/SEAndroid
Im not geting "permissive state" after reboot the phone, i need to open wanam xposed after every reboot and then i get in "permissive state"
Same to all you guys?

I was using a custom 4.1.2 rom for a long time and then I felt like an upgrade. I came to the forums and saw a lot of stuff about KNOX and Bootloaders etc that I didn't really understand. I found a 4.3 rom (xperia-z-ized v2.1) and followed the instructions to install it. I had wifi issues so I flash dr. ketans patch and it worked fine after that. Then I started to get random reboots and boot loops. Someone suggested it was something to do with MJ5 and bootloaders etc.

I found your post and thought aha here is the solution, I read all pages and posts to familiarise myself. I then followed your instructions to install the MJ5 package on top of my 4.3 custom rom in the hope of sorting out my issues. Once done I booted up and had wifi issues. I thought ahh man let's just go back to a stock rom (minus knox stuff) so I downloaded yours that needed to be flashed via odin. I followed instructions but Odin failed, I tried again but no luck.

I thought screw it and I will go back to my backup of my 4.3 custom rom, which I have done. wifi is working although I probably will receive some random reboots as usual.

What I want is to be on a Stock 4.3 Rom, de-knoxed, rooted (I don't mind any other tinkering to improve). Then I want to apply mannyvinny's 240dpi mod and be happy with life. Is it possible? I read so many topics but I get more and more confused. Can anyone here help me out?

If it helps I am running:
Xperia-Z-Ized v2.1 custom ROM
4.3
Basband: N7100XXUEMJ9
Kernel: 3.0.31-2229877
Build: JSS15J.N7100XXUEML3

Thank you!

Thanks for such a hastle free upgrading process, i upgraded to v4.3 with ease, this is what i did while on 4.1.2 custom rom, downloaded mj5 bottloader+modem+recovery (final.md5.tar), downloaded twrp open recovery (openrecovery.img.tar file), rebooted phone in download mode (i wanna add here don't reboot to download mode using current 4-way reboot menu, only do that by turning phone off then press volume-+home+power and then press volume up to continue) and flashed final.tar.md5 as pda, when it finished installing, it rebooted to stock recovery, take out the battery and put it back in and enter download mode again, install openrecovery as pda and after finished installation, phone will automatically boot to twrp recovery, now perform full wipe and flash custom 4.3 rom, after flashing is done, dont reboot, install dr.ketan multi tool advance v6 and root + knox free using aroma option, and after doing this reboot your device, you'll have fully functional 4.3 rom with no wifi or random reboots etc issues.

Also i don't think flashing knox free firmware and at the same time worrying about warranty bit is justifying..you are doing nothing than wasting your time, samsung will not accept it if you have firmware without knox, nor do they will accept patched mj5 bootloaders, so why should we worry about it? Flash this patched bootloader and flash a custom rom, if you want to sale it , just flash your region's firmware.

Mobile odin will help you with the knox free firmware of op, but i am sure many of us dont belong to the region that has this firmware, so definitely this firmware will still not help you with warranty claim or reselling your device, if you want to keep your device and use it, flash this firmware without worry.

@rattymon I fully agree with @Alipk52: if you just like stock UI, flash dr.ketan's V6.1 zip.
I must admit that I fully trust that Samsung devices are awsome piece of hardware. From the other side, I don't give a sh** for their warranty and miserable customers service. When I buy the new, I just check on all my Samsung devices if whole hardware works OK (WiFi, camera, BT etc) and 5min later I root it and install custom ROM, never to return to stock. I never yet needed service, hardware is fantastic. Their software is nothing but a crap.

@tetakpatak @Alipk52 guys, thank you so much for your kind responses. I had kinda already done exactly how Alipk explained by the time I read your messages ending up with: stock 4.3 for TW features, 240dpi mod, Note 3 Features mod and Nova Prime for the launcher and all working sweetly! Trouble is, my phone is now doing a first boot after flashing Xperia-Z-Ized v3.1 haha - flash addiction! But you fellas helped me realise where my confusion lay so I really appreciate that. I also buy a phone outright, check it over and flash it 2 mins later so I also don't ever plan on getting service from any retailer or samsung! anyway thanks again pals, one love!

LOL :D I'm so glad, welcome to the club, mate :)
Well, there are so many great ROMs around and it makes fun to flash. I also try a lot around and flash often. I'm glad all works for you now! LOL, I also when I get a new phone just check the hardware is working 100% fine and 10min after that ig is rooted and has a custom ROM :)

Hey, just one more advice: be sure to backup your EFS folder on several different ways (like with TWRP, just copying the EFS folder with root browser or also backup it with other tools)

Ocasionally it can get lost by flashing a new ROM ....never happened to me yet after more than 200 flashing procedures on ca 30 different devices but every here and there people report to have lost it. The phone often can't be used after that as it doesn't get the signal, although sometimes it works even after losing IMEI. But it is definitely a safer road to backup it. It's the first thing I do on each phone right after root.

Hello and thank you for your development...

I stumbled upon here after upgrading my T-Mobile Note 2 to Android 4.3 - I did not do the OTA update so I am currently on a modified bootloader which allows my wifi to work without using the devil kernel. The issues I'm having is random reboots, and often times the phone seems to just hang.

I was wondering if your mod would work on the T-Mobile Variant, SGH-T889. I would like to stay on 4.3 but with some many random reboots and hanging issues, it's tough to stay updated.

I have tried practically all custom 4.3 rom variants. None appear to be stable, and I don't wish to upgrade to the latest bootloader at this time. Though, my warranty is almost up, I might just have to go that route if I can't find a more stable solution.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Edit: Since removing the modified bootloader from Dr. Ketan for the T-Mobile Variant of the Note 2, random reboots have stopped, however sometimes the phone does still hang. This however might be Rom or Kernel related.

Is there any wy to flash this without odin cz odin dont recognize my device...
First you have to install Samsung mobile USB driver and connect your phone (booted to OS and with USB debugging enabled), so the installation gets completely finished after ca 1 min.

As you seem to be novice, I would excersize with flashing recoveries with Odin, until you're sure all works. If you start with bootloader and Odin stucks when it shouldn't, your device will be hard-bricked.

Struggling to find this too.

I did try flashing the file in "4.3 Kernel stuff" but it fails in Odin.

I'm currenty having reboot issues on Dr Ketan V6... every time I reboot my phone or try and enter recovery it goes into Download Mode or shows the Firmware Update Failed screen. I then have to pull the battery, which will then boot to Philz.
