Thanks to the moderators for the new Moto G forum! :)
Until we have finally root and/or custom recovery, here is the dump of the /system/app and /system/framework folders, already deodexed and ready for modding and theming.
This is the stock factory ROM 14.71.8.falcon_umts.Retail.en.DE, which the devices are shipped in germany/europe.

[edit] the right build number is 14.10.0Q3.X-76-LGG-8, sorry for the confusion.

Download here: http://d-h.st/Yqb

Enjoy! :)

Well, do you know what you are doing?
If not so, I won't like to give you an advice because you may brick your phone if you do something wrong.
You can enter fastboot with Power+VolDown. You don't need root, but an unlocked bootloader.

How about root?

There is a custom recovery now, so you need an unlocked BL, flash the recovery, flash superuser and enjoy ;) you can also test the countless exploits or one click rooting methods, like vroot or kingoo or whatever they are called.

I forgot the bootloader ... it seemed to me that the root was nothing to see.

Thank you !!

RSD Lite is not even seeing my Moto G.. but that's for another thread.

Edit: For reference, I ended up using this method instead to flash stock British ROM.

Boot to fastboot, and select the last option in the list. Unless the last option is barcodes, then pick the second to last option. When the phone boots, RSD Lite will see it.
These are the options in the Moto G bootloader:
Code:
Normal Powerup
Recovery
Factory
Switch Console [NULL: null]
Barcodes
BP Tools

The last option "BP Tools" reboots the device to Android, but with a whole bunch of new devices detected in Windows Device Manager.
Manually add drivers for the new "Motorola QC Diag interface" device. These drivers are in the motorola driver package: http://www.mymotocast.com/download/MDM?platform=windows
The driver is the "Motorola QC Diag Port", Windows did NOT detect this, I had to go through the 'let me choose a driver' dialog. Finally the Moto G is detected in RSD Lite.

Same here, i hoped to have it before xmas, but it's out of order everywhere, or price is too high :/
By the way, it seems to be a good phone :)
