Case 1- (Status 7 error while flashing kitkat roms)


This can be referred as a general checking step. Check that you are using the latest version of TWRP/CWM. The older versions of these recoveries pop out the status 7 error while flashing kitkat roms.

Latest TWRP version= 2.7 (2.6.3.4 also works)
Latest CWM version=6.0.3 up

Maybe you have a md5 sum for that .zip file? I think i got it done,but would be nice to be sure,if .zip file is intact.

I have the SGP311.
I had installed stock 4.3 with no root.
Now I've downgraded to 10.1.C.0.370 as instructed.

I've tried to re-download the flashable zip and got no success.
I'm gonna check the MD5sum and try again later today (I'm on GMT-3) when I'm home.

Checked md5: Got the right checksum but it wont work.
Using the right flashtool and recovery as well.
Anyone tried using CWM or TWRP yet - this philz recovery is new to me.

ok, i think its becouse i have made the sgp311 and sgp312 flashable zip's with build-in newest philz recovery... in sgp321 iva used the old one and everything was fine. at the end we have only to update the newest philz with windows recovery-installer

its firmware for sgp311 (with new philz). everything else is non-touched. can someone tell me if this zip and ftf work?

I used the 312 files after correctly veryfying the md5, coming from a rooted 4.12 version, and got an error 7... I proceeded with flashing the stripped ftf and ended up with 4.4.2 but without root...

yep, its the same problem in both devices > error 7.
i have posted new-rebuild pack only for 311 once again with philz .123. but with newest flashtool (0.9.16). the old ona pack is created with newest phil and with flashtool in version 0.9.15...
but when ive made a rom for sgp321 ive used the old one philz and flashtool in verion 0.9.15.

im thingking we need to updet philz with windows help in the last steep (newest philz cant be build into rom).

now im creating rom for 311 with old philz recovery.

all files from 1 post are deleted im making right now a stripped ftf and flashable zip with the old one files (the same ive used to created flashable 4.4 for LTE version).
