You sure all of these apps can be disabled without any stability issues? I read that removing magazines causes some FCs.

It'll also cause stock email to force close when you receive an email.

I've found this mentioned elsewhere on xda and have been doing ever since. If you convert google services framework to a user app using a paid version of titanium backup then greenify it, it'll have tremendous battery saving when your screen is off. Best part of all, I've experienced no repercussions whatsoever. Ymmv of course.

You can stop mail from FC'ing if you turn off notifications on each account in email. You won't get status bar notifications but will still see the count of new emails in the icon.

For the past 4 days "Android System" has been killing my battery.

Feel like i'm back on my old gnex with this charging at after only unplugged for 9 hours, and only using 1h 30min screen time.

Tried factory reset, nadda. Which is odd is that I noticed a slight dip in battery performance after 4.4.2, but nothing that bothered me. Past 4 days its been horrible!

You wouldn't happen to have the s5 launcher apk? I'd rather not have to dl some S5 rom just to get the launcher. If you could post the 4.3 launcher I'd be grateful.

edit: nevermind about 4.3 the S5 is 4.4 only, my bad.

yes, magazine home app will mess with messaging apps if removed - what I do is remove the sucker, and also opt to replace MMS and Samsung Email with google versions (e.g. Email.apk and Exchange2.apk); they work just fine...

I fixed my Kitkat battery problems just by getting the donate version of Greenify and hibernated most apps especially Google Play Services that was the culprit with no side effects. It keeps waking up but it also keeps hibernating.
