This update improves the Nexus 5 camera with faster shooting (less shutter lag, less motion blur); faster, more accurate focusing; better white balancing for truer colors; and more accurate exposures. The update also includes other bug fixes and performance improvements.
Weird, because I lost root, but I did not lose custom recovery.
I have all stock except recovery, I have CWM. When I finished updating and want to reboot, I selected the option to keep SU and worked fine. The same happened with de 4.4.1 update. Only flashed again recovery
Currently running 4.4, rooted, and uninstalled Xposed. Tried to install the 4.4.2 update and got an error about a build.prop change. Changed that, but now I can't get the trigger to restart and install the update. The file is in my cache folder.
How can I trigger it to install again?
Glancing at the zip, most patch files are only 1- 2 KB which suggests a minor change like version number. Files larger than 2 KB are patches for:
/system/app/FaceLock.apk
/system/app/GoogleCamera.apk and .odex
/system/app/GalleryGoogle.apk
/system/bin/sensors.qcom
/system/framework/telephony-common.odex
/system/framework/ext.jar
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/lib/libpatts_engine_jin.api.so
/system/lib/libwebviewchromium.so
/system/lib/libpac.so
/system/lib/libnfc-nci.so
/system/lib/libnfc_nci_jni.so
/system/lib/libfacelock_jni.so
/system/priv-app/GoogleLoginService.apk and .odex
/system/priv-app/Settings.apk and .odex
A number of other files in here are 3 KB
/vendor/lib/libmmcamera2_isp_modules.so
/vendor/lib/libmmcamera2_stats_modules.so
/vendor/lib/libmmcamera2_imglib_modules.so
and a few others ranging 3-6 KB.
Please let it be an improvement to the radio.

Nice, so more tweaks to the camera it looks like. It almost seems like Google is taking the camera experience seriously, which is a major surprise.
If you (or anyone else) happens to catch the link for the 4.4 -> 4.4.2 download, please post it here.

I flashed 4.4.1 a couple days ago. Got the 4.4.2 notification that an update was ready to install just now... What do I do?
