DN4 by far the best and the most stable custom rom for Note2 (N7100). For DN7 if possible try to add the lollipop system ui for user to choose which one to install. MM system ui is too white, plain and pale.

Thanks in advance.

im getting error - "updater process ended with error: 7. Error installing zip file '/external_sdcard/twm_n7100-v1.0bylbt.zip" at the end of the install. Please help. Im using twrp 3.0.2-0
Try TWRP 2.8. I use 2.8.6. Downgrading from the 3.#'s solved a lot of installation errors. Newer ain't always better.

My own take on screen shots
Does DN7 bring back the "live" video previews? I heard Samsung got rid of those for TW4.4.4, but surely there's a way to bring back those little video animation previews. Thanks for the screenshots!

thanks but i aint gonna waste another half a day for just trying my luck on 2.8.6. I tried both philz recovery(installs fully but stuck at note 2 welcome screen) and twrp(ended with error : 7 )
live previews were fun but those generated thumbs costed huge space on internal memory. Mine had accumulated over 1.5gigs until i found out it was a worthless feature

Half-day? Should be one quick flash to the different TWRP, and about 5-8 minutes to install DN7 and let it breathe.
Are you using an LTE Note 2? If so, did you get the LTE patch that makes N7100 ROMs work on our LTE variants?

i'm currently on eclipse v8(yeah n7100) and happy with everything(except proximity bug, anyone experiencing this?)
btw i didn't mean about just flashing. i meant about getting messed up with the same error with no OS installed on my phone. It would take atleast 3 hours to get everything right to my working conditions(settings, agni settings, xposed etc)
Anyways i'll try installing it tonight. could you please post me the link to the version of your twrp? thanks

Oh, I know just what you mean about settings! I have an S-Note file with about 50 steps with everything you mentioned, to get things running right and in the right order.
Don't know about the proximity bug.
If your phone's an N7100, here's your 2.8.6 link. Just flash the .zip in TWRP to downgrade. If you're on another variant and you meant you're just using an N7100 ROM, see below.
Go to the TWRP Devices page, type "samsung galaxy note 2" and click on your variant. On the next page, look for Download Links and click on "Primary (Recommended)". You'll get a huge list of all versions for your variant, with different methods for each version (.zip, .tar, .img). Pick the file format that reflects your preferred install method (.zip to flash in TWRP, .img to flash in TWRP if you selected the Image option, .tar to flash in Odin).

You surely know this, but remember to use the LTE patch if applicable, and your proper modem. Even though I know to do these, I often forget one or more when I switch up the routine with a new ROM/recovery.

i just did flashed twrp 2.8.6 and wiped my internal. flashed the rom zip and ended up with the same error. thankfully i now have a backup of my working os on my SD :)
btw i think the failure to install is caused as a result of me re-partitioning my phone to gain space on my internal storage. I will now flash the original pit file to gain PRELOAD partition and then post back my results.
md5 of the rom file would also be helpful(though i downloaded it twice its better to have a check)

PERFECT!! I repartitioned the internal to original stock and flashed using philz touch recovery and voila! it worked. Incase anyone experiencing this issue(ie. bootloop at Galaxy welcome screen), follow this method to revert your partition back to stock incase you had fiddled with before:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2765846
I had to flash it via odin though because it is a PIT file. Get the 2nd zip file to revert back to stock. Thanks for the inputs

Please can i have the link for LTE patch?
Can we use LTE on out note 2 n7100?
Thanks dear

LTE patch: [ADDON] N7100ToNote2LTE Patch (aroma) v1.3b 07OCT (formerly DN4 v2 for N7105 addon)

But as @nvrmndryo said, it won't help an N7100 handset. It's only for making N7100 ROMs work on N7105/i317/T889 Note 2s.

Whatever you do, you cannot use Lte on N7100. It's doesn't have hardware for that.

for some reason eclipse ROM had always suffered lag(youtube was a nightmare even in Agni-Gaming mode & 1800mhz) even after fresh installing. This ROM has made me kept considering the Note 7 xD

Hi....

1.- Someone has tried to change LCD density to 260 or 240 ?..
2.- Lock screen , it is freezing , slow to respond, but the phone still works because the notifications are heard.

Clean Instal DN7, N7100.

Thanks
