There is a link in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/4-4-4-inbound-t2871557

page 5 or so I posted the md5 of what downloaded here when my phone pulled the update. So if that link posted in the thread has matching md5 I'd say the file is good.
The file that Omar04 posted is definitely corrupt. I tried many different way to open and fix. So someone else will have to post it. I will soon as I get the update.

Go and check the md5 from @Omar04 upload and see if it matches the one I posted.

Everyone that's tried to extract the update that their phone has downloaded has had the same issue.

md5 I got for update is:

D2EC5D31A1F786CA7E95D7FF63D9893C

unpacks \update\META-INF\com\android\metadata with contents of
Code:
post-build=samsung/hltespr/hltespr:4.4.4/KTU84P/N900PVPUDNH7:user/release-keys
post-timestamp=1409206131
pre-build=samsung/hltespr/hltespr:4.4.2/KOT49H/N900PVPUCNC5:user/release-keys
pre-device=hltespr
Then overwrites this file with an over 2mb elf file of the same name.

I'm thinking that binary takes care of the rest of the unpacking..? It would seem so I guess.

I downloaded the OTA, but when I reboot it fails in updating. I am on rooted stock nc5 with an engineering bootloader. what do I have to do to get the update? my knox is tripped already.

You need to Odin stock NC5 bootloader then flash back to 100% unrooted stock.

No you need to flash the stock bootloader. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tef6vr2iuieasqq/NC5_OEM_BL.tar.md5?dl=0
Then flash stock Unrooted NC5 because the update will still see that you were modified and not stock. There is two places to look if you are official. 1st place is under settings about phone. The other place is in download mode. If both places don't say official or Samsung Official then it won't update. Here is a stock one click nc5 rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51848277

Thanks, i'll flash the bootloader first (hitting bootloader icon in odin) then the nc5 rom next (hitting pda in odin). the last question is when I flash nc5 rom i won't actually lose anything right? such as my current config or files.

Thanks,

John

First thing I forgot. In order for the bootloader to stick do a cold boot into download mode. To do that completely shut off phone the wait about 30 seconds after the button lights turn off then hold power+home+volume down button at the same time until you see the Samsung logo.
And about the one click I would back up everything! You might loose stuff. Can't promise. I used the one click earlier and didn't loose anything. But you I took a chance. I also made a nandroid backup.
