It will probably replace the whole systemui but the whole file will be exactly the same other than the 4g icons.
It replaces the individual files in system ui, it will turn the 3g icon to 4g, and the h icon to 4g.
I will get around to making one sometime soon.. currently have a windows phone.
I don't care if there was a picture of a care bear there... My data works no matter what's there.
I don't get your point. He didn't change anything to LTE, he added 4g icons. US carriers use the 4g icon for HSPA+ and AOSP roms change it to H. So this helps change it back.
I'm not sure where the confusion lies. As far as the status bar icons go on CM10/AOKP ROMs, 3G=3G, H= HSPA, H+=HSPA+, and 4G=LTE. All this "mod" does is change the icons so that 4G=3G, HSPA, HSPA+, and LTE. So basically, unless you were in an area with only extended, or no signal, the status bar would always show 4G, even though that would not be the actual signal you were receiving if you didn't have LTE signal.
Everyone's T-Mobile android phone shows 4G when on hspa+. T-Mobile doesn't have LTE. On any stock T-Mobile Rom there is no such thing as an H icon. The point of this mod is so people can continue to get the 4G icon with CM9/10/AOKP while on hspa+, instead of the H icon. Just like we do on every other Rom. So I still don't see your point.
